A California teen did a good deed by driving to a woman’s house to return a lost purse. Melina Marquez says a teenager found the purse in a shopping cart at a grocery store. The driver’s license inside belonged to her friend, Eliana Martin, who used to live with her, but hadn’t updated her address. They posted the doorbell video to social media hoping to find the teen. Adrian Rodriguez, 17, reached out to identify himself as the good Samaritan. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

I’m all for doing good deeds but stuff like this doesn’t happen often. When opportunity like this arise, you either take everything inside and leave the purse or return it with a high chance of knowing you aren’t getting anything out of it beside recognition only. If you really want my opinion on this, I’m just going to say the Guy got lucky.

He was raised good.. and by doing good thing good things will return to him as well.. And i know this from my own experience how bad it feels because i lost my purse-wallet back in 2000 with all kind of things in it not just about money i did had around 3000$ in cash but also credit cards, driver license, vehicle documents etc and again the money wasn't that important for me seriously, i would not care about them but instead i would be very happy if i would at least get back all the important documents : driver license, vehicle documents and other papers bank and credit cards but i never get them back, i did have to block all bank accounts and credit cards get new from bank latter, change all those documents with new ones again which was a really painful experience..

Right?! I’ve found stuff (mainly phones) in stores a few times and just brought it to the customer service desk.. and every time I’ve done it, I felt kind of iffy about it because you don’t necessarily know whether the worker will actually put it into the lost and found or simply pocket it for themselves. But oh well, at least we do the right thing, which is more than the majority of people can say.. but this kid went above and beyond, and he clearly has a good heart and a solid moral compass. Don't give up on people Lindsay! The moment you do, you risk ignoring someone who might make a difference in your life. I know it's hard sometimes to keep the door open. Meeting the right person or people will more than make up for everything wrong that's been done to you. If your door is closed, that can never happen. I know it's easier to say it than to do it, but be patient, make sure you're around the right kinds of people, maybe say a prayer, and good things will happen. It's an old saying, but it's a good one: you're known by the company that you keep.

Yep. Those "giving money to a homeless person" videos always make me cringe, because it's so obvious that the uploader is just doing it to be seen of men.
