Yeah I definitely think it's in the same boat as the XN Raiser and the Avalanche Exia: Find a good pose and try not to breathe on it. That being said I've had it standing, holding two gunblades, with the GN Sword V on his hip on my desk for the past few weeks and I bump my desk constantly and he hasn't fallen down, remarkably.

The inner frame is about 96% simillar to the MG 00 Raiser. Except for some parts in the torso, and skirt. That being said, you can pull the hips fown like the MG 00 Gundam. And I find that the side skirt of the QanT is a lot more frustratingly easy to knock off than it is gor the 00 Gundam.

Kind of a shame that it doesn't come with a ring stand to hold the sword bits. Anyone know if there are third parties that sell it? I know one of the third party sets that came out a couple years back had both the full saber and the ring stand, but I only want the ring

Another suggestion for this video series: How to avoid chipping in the joints; I know you did your how to paint (in which order) but no matter what, I always fail when it comes to preparing/sealing the joint parts so they don't chip when they are used.

The QanT is my favorite mobile suit design I love all the 00 suits and when I get this it will complete my MG collection of Setsuna's Gundams with the Exia, Avalanche exia dash, the 00 Raiser, 00 Seven sword, the XN raiser and the QanT I cant wait to top the collection off with this guy thanks for the effort in the review zack!!! I’ve got the MG Shia Qan[t] Trans-Am Mode and I really love it. Didn’t have any problems with posing the kit, but it doesn’t come with all of the extra bits from this kit, so I can see how that might be a pain. I love the head design for this Mobile Suit in particular.

I'm nearly finished with this kit and there are a few things that I have to complain about it. First I recently got the LEDs and they were a pain to put together; the put together part wasn't bad, but the lights weren't always constant. I thought that I had to tighten it really tight, to the point on one of them I accidentally stripped the head. It seems if the batteries aren't pressed together, they only flicker on briefly. Then there's the case that holds the LEDs. You either HAVE to have it inside the Gundam to attach to the backpack; or you can keep it out, but can't attach the backpack. Then if you have to turn it on, it proves difficult, as it doesn't rotate that well. Removing it is difficult as well, as the ends tend to jam themselves into their posts and become hard to dig out. Finally there's the hands. Mine on the right hand like to stay loose and make it so that it cannot hold anything. I think if they were pressed down a little the joints would stay in place better, but they don't. And sometimes the loose panels of armor can just pop off of the figure if I mess around too much, like the side hip armor. This is my first true attempt at doing a Master Grade model, as I've mostly done HG models.

The only problems I've had are with the 2 gn bits being hard to pull off the binder, feels like I'm gonna snap the connections and the lower bit of the side skirts which i just glued... I don't like the original buster sword and "rifle" or the full saber launcher so the only posing issue i have is with the full saber buster which isn't that bad to deal with... I mean i would have liked if the gn bits had simple peg holes for having them deployed like the rg sazabi's funnels but i really like mine

The small blades that attack to the shield are so impossible to get off I literally broke both clips that hood them on tryna get em off. Luckily this was actually a good thing because the clips are now hooks that the nodes hang on and then are held in place when u slot it in to position. DIY pro tip: fucking break it.

I have this kit and I really do love it...but that damn backpack i feel like I'm being forced to Not use the led units so I can glue the stupid GN drive together so it doesn't fall apart. One thing I want to mention personally is that master grades are very draining to build. Obviously they arent gonna be easy to build, but the reason I love gunpla is because of all the variety, the affordable price, the low risk with customization, and the fact that hg kits can generally be built in 1 day. Obviously more complexity means everything gets to be more impressive, but this being my 3rd mg has taught me that you only go higher than high grade if you REALLY love something.

The only kit I've ever felt drained building was the mg fa unicorn... All those gattling guns! The thunderbolt mgs came close with the joint covers... More often than not i just want to build more once i finish something... But i can pump out about 3-5 compleated hg in a day (pannel lined, missing colors painted, minor mods, etc) so a mg doesn't even last me a full day most the time...

Disagree. I started with MGs. Specifically the seed series, strike, aegis, buster, duel, blitz eg The process is long. But i feel the time taken is right. If anything, it forces you to take things slowly and appreciate how everything comes together. The fastest i ever took was a full day for the freedom for just the assembly. Decals, linings and coat was the other day.

I see things differently. I find the HG too small for my 53 year old eyes and hands. Just trimming some tiny pieces is a chore. And I have to use 3X magnifying glasses on those tiny bits. MG is a perfect size for me besides having a better shelf presence.

This is a P-Bandai. It's just that North America got a chance for its release. But everywhere else, especially in Japan, it's the same as other P-bandai (monochrime box). As Zak mebtioned in his Avalanche Exia review, we better get these if we really want it cuz it might look like a regular release because you can see it sold in North America. But in Japan where the kit is being produced, it was a limited release. So.... if they ain't producing any, we won't get any.

This is one of the reasons the 2000s suits are just not that good. It's just an overload of gimmicks and weapons. Exia was a fantastic suit, but by the time you get all the way to this it just feels like a bad fanfic suit.
