Ive kinda taken up my dad's hobby, I remember when I was just a little kid watching my father build gundams, I remember watching him build the red zaku as well as most of the 00 Raiser, but i never saw him finish it, sadly he got really busy and hasnt been able to work on kits in a while, ive explored our basement a few times and found quite a bit of unbuilt gundams, but also actually found his unfinished Raiser, I asked him about it and he gladly let me finish it, im honestly really sad that he hasnt gotten to work on any in a while, his most recent kit being a year or so ago when I got into gundam after all these years and he built the MG Sazabi Ver.Ka, he told me about all the gundam's i broke when I was little and it hurt me lel, thinking about all the hard work my tiny self destroyed unknowingly

in my own experience, the seven sword can actually hold the buster sword nicely with two hands and do some poses, which is way better than astray red frame kai. but then I accidentally destroyed it when dipping it in solvent to remove the paint, which I turned into a diorama mimicking the wrecked 00 in the ending, and just left it at my brother's shop. and somehow someone actually want to buy it and surprisingly paid enough for me to get an XN Raiser.............

If you're removing paint it's often safer to wipe it with the solvent on a towel instead. Don't submerge the actual part because they melt (as I see you clearly found out XD). That's nice it worked out though :)

I know this might be a little late, but after building the MG Amazing Exia, it looks like Bandai fixed the issues with the original Exia. Even with the backpack and weapons attached it can stand without issues. The joints are tight OOB and can hold the weapons.

Since I own the regular MG Exia, for sure it has the same build quality of the ignition mode. If you want to buy and build either of these kits, I advice you glue some of the small and unnecessary parts so that it would give you less headaches when posing. These kits are NOT meant to be played with (constantly swapping out weapons) because the pegs in the hand/manipulators will become loose overtime. After building either of these kits, just give it a fixed pose and place it on your shelf. The kit's design is very good nonetheless.

I must’ve gotten insanely lucky. The MG Ignition Mode Exia was my first ever gunpla and it went together with the only issue being a dangly beam sword handle on the right shoulder. I finished it last week and I’m still trying to decide if I’m going to convert him to the destroyed version.

Don't worry boys, MG Kyrios for sure will have the same build quality as Dynames since the inner-frame and plastic used will be the same. I heard it even has a new latching system for its flight form compared to its 1/100 counterpart which was not so good (I have the kit). It will have more surface details, better proportions and more parts separation.

I've built the Exia four times now across the different variations made available and not a single one has been bad. They're all still holding the same poses and such, no loose parts, nothing falling off.

@@ChrisTian-sd5yq I've found that the older the molds get if they're using the same ones, they tend to wear somewhat. My PG MKII Titans ver required extensive sanding on some parts to get them to fit because the parts were warped slightly. You could tell it was from the molds as the runners had much the same slight warping. So while all my Exias are holding up, new releases of it are probably suffering issues from the molds aging.

I was building one of those Quanta 00 MGs about two years ago. I spent an hour putting the hand together, polishing off the stub marks, panel-lining the fingers, etc.. I start working on the next arm, when the index finger just falls off the hand. So, I take a closer look, and I see what looks like a small seem slowly split down the panel-line of the palm of the hand, and it spreads down the connected panel-lines. So, yeah, I watched the palm of the hand slowly crumble over the course of 15 seconds.

4:53 i can safely say that as far as old kits, the RX-79[G] Ground Gundam, despite how much of a pain in the ass the legs were to put together, is built like a brick shithouse. If it came with extra pairs of hands for holding the weapons instead of relying on the poseable hands to hold everything [ which is my one major gripe about this kit], it would be much better. The joints are nice and tight and it holds even my AGE-- Magnum's behemoth of a gun fairly well, something the magnum can't do itself but i attribute that to the screws in the ground gundam's shoulders. It's my favorite grunt suit and i'd snatch up a 2.0 in a heartbeat if they ever release one for it.

if you notice it, the left cheek of exia is actually a little slight off to the outer side of the head. of course it is hardly noticable, but if you are the one who assembled it, you will see. i just realized it after i built my avalanche exia's head.

Expensive and very back heavy but it's so worth it when you see the finished product. 🤩 Kinda like when I finished my MG-E Unicorn Gundam. That led strip had me sweating till it was installed. Should have just release the parts as an option set for the 00 Raiser like they did with the PG Exia Repair parts... @@DarkROSkull013 well think about it. Exia was kicking ass during the 5 year time skip with no proper maintenance and with 1 arm and absolutely zero support. The 00 line required constant upgrades to keep up with the enemy and couldn't even go through the final battle having started in top condition from the get-go and allegedly twice the output with the second GN drive which SHOULD have given it a proper edge in the battle no matter how many foes were sent its way at once. The fully restored Exia was the clutch that won the battle and survived with minimal damage that was centered mainly around the cockpit. Essentially, setsuna was stuck with mobile suits that had inferior durability and, given the relative feats between the two, inferior overall capability despite the alleged gap in power output. Despite everything, Exia proved to be the superior mobile suit.

@@killer13324 Exia did kick other MS during the 5 year skip. That is a feat in itself. However, by the final battle, it wasn't up against a superior suit, it was up against the oldest MS from CB. Both OO and Reborns wrecked each other. I don't think Exia is the superior suit; but I think you raised valid points.

Between all the OO gundam kits, the seven sword is the only one That I can pose without a stand. That's a big plus in my book compared to the others. And you can pose on the ground with the buster sword or gun and he will still stand.

Hey guys!! Need help, I think the exia ignition mode mg 100 can pull the front skirts outward so you can hip flex even further, i think it has a more decent hip flexion if you want to do dynamic poses. Can anyone confirm this? Or look at it at least? Id really want to buy an exia just because, well, its an exia. Haha thanks for the vid review by the way!! Awesome vid as always!

Thanks for this video. I somehow agree with your ranking. I own the regular MG Exia and even if it looks good as a kit, it has some loose parts. I did tighten them up and now it is alright but still, I hope that Bandai will release an Exia 2.0 because the current MG isn't capable of doing some Anime-Exia poses. The manipulators/hands of the kit are just not good enough, the LED that passes through in front looks like a joke compared to Dynames' GN Drive, articulation is not the best, and it has weak joints. There is really a need for the 2.0 especially when you want to collect the first generation kits of gundam 00. The 00 and 00Q in the video are better kits, but I still hope that in the future, they will get their 2.0 counterparts as well. It may be a long shot and will require a lot of work but it will be worth-it for sure.

I've seen Sword Strike, Astaroth, Fenice, and No-Name. Frankly, I also got an HG 00 7SG. But honestly it looks really awkward with that huge sword, it gives a weird unbalance feel to the side. It can only be help if the Gun was also mounted on the right. . Definitely would go with the other 00 versions if I'm planning to get an MG.

Recently got MG Exia Ignition Mode, and they either fixed it all or I got a really good kit. No issues at all with joints, holding weapons or holding poses! Now I need another to use the repair kit on...

My 00 Raiser was a hand grenade. Shoulder parts and the Raiser itself would fall off if you looked at them funny and at the time I didn't have a stand so getting it to stand up on it's own was a matter of balancing it on the Raiser without the Raiser popping off. Been meaning to revisit the 00 Gundam in general but I am wary.

Can you put the XN raiser on the seven sword? It looks like the seven sword uses the entire same suit as the XN raiser, and the seven sword stuff doesn’t seem like it would interfere with the XN raiser stuff

I built the Exia the other day and while I don’t have nearly as much disdain for it as most people, I definitely think it could use an update. It’s age shows a lot through its lack of stability and omnipresent mild jank

19:34 there's actually 3 versions of the mg exia. You forgot about avalanche exia / avalanche exia ~ EDIT although the extra parts from the avalanche are a little bit clunky, it does add some nice bulk to the exia if there's what you like

I quite like the bulk distribution of the Avalanche compared to any of the 00 and its variants. 00 is just super top-heavy with so many swords and stuff while its legs are all skinny. Avalanche distributes it better. BUT its uses MG Exia as its base so extra weight for those ankles is pretty much a disaster. You can use the Avalanches parts to hold it up a bit more but still...

The quality of the reprints are really good. I couldn't resist it and bought a copy of the original MG Exia reprint. I am very picky for my kits most of the time. That is why I hesitate a few years in getting this one. I prepared a lot of glue. Boy, the quality on this is nothing like I read on line. My copy of the original MG Exia is solid as a brick with out any glue. Strongly recommend. Just hope you don't get a copy that's been sitting in storage for years. Wish there was a way to tell when it is manufactured.

standard mg 00 raiser was my first MG ten or so years ago and it almost stopped me from buying a master grade ever again due to parts constantly falling off and how unstable the final thing is. I'm still afraid of buying any other setsuna MG kit to this day, haha. Wonder if Xn-raiser had any improvements over the original 00 raiser version. I'm a fan of shmups like Gradius so that Vic Viper-looking XN flight unit is sexy lookin'

I got the 00 XN Raiser when it came out, and god did it feel like the build that would never end.

I thought not buying the XN raiser instead got the standard 00 raiser only. As for Xn raiser , you can always buy an add-on xn raiser pack in lesser price. Well not bandai that is. BTW, got exia ignition mode years after it was release and never had any issues.

Basically if you combine all of those oo gundam you get the metal robot spirits gundam oo + 7 swords + raiser + xn unit but in mastergrade
