I agree with you, Frank. I think that the artifacts should be preserved properly in a museum . If they’re left in a mine, they risk being lost due to collapse of the mine or getting sealed off in an intentionally closed off mine. I’d like to see this stuff preserved so we can remember what mining was once like

When I was little, my Dad would take me out on the desert, just outside Vegas to look for tortoises. It seemed on every trip we would see one or two. That was 55 years ago and it’s not the case anymore. They say tortoises are rarely seen in the wild and have since been listed under the federal Endangered Species Act. By saving the stranded tortoise, you and Gly made a generous contribution towards the conservation of and engendered species. Good job!

That was a cool explore you found your way to bat central, so glad it isn’t smellevision though. Artefacts need to be rescued too, they would only be destroyed or decay and that would be a dam shame and such a waste. Good job guys taking a couple minutes to rescue a turtle! A lot of jerks would have just left it there couldn't be bothered. Yeah all bats are ugly mice with wings. But they do have a higher tendency to carry rabies. And as far as I know there are no shots for humans Frank to not get rabies . There are shots/ treatment for after you get bit as long as it soon afterwards . It involves very long needles shots to your stomach and it's painful and not pleasant .Love the show guys, later everyone.

Thats one lucky bloody tortoise! quick reactions with that rock coming down a shoot. I had a bag fall down a shaft above me, guy shouted and I just moved out the way in time. Luckily here in the UK, rabies shots are free, I've had one when I got bit by a dog. Problem is, if you get into a gated mine and give location, they will often bulldoze the adit. Eek, if you take stuff out of a mine in the UK, you'd be shot by the mine exploring community. We prefer to see stuff in context,, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. funny how they bothered to put that metal sheeting down when the mine doesn't go far. wow the wood on that shaft looked like it was put there yesterday.

When someone leaves property like that in an extremely dangerous location and doesn't return for it for decades, it should be considered abandoned. Like the original miner from 1930 or whatever is going to come back for their lamp or the demolition guy is going come hollering about their box, that was their special explosive box...

@thiosemicarbizidebenzoylal29215 жыл бұрын
You need a dosimeter. You are in the heart of Uranium ore mining. The decay rate of the exposed ore produces large amounts of GAMMA radiation. If you see bats its probably a good sign, but otherwise many of the mines you are exploring are most likely filled with GAMMA RADIATION. These mines are from the early 1900s when little was known about the exposure to the ore.
