Suggestion for ya. I use two pieces of milk jug plastic cut to fit slide one on each side. Dunk holster in water and shake it dry. Insert plastic and pistol and leave it a couple of days. Should be perfect after that. John

I just received my second 1791 holster and they blow Galco and all other leathers out of the water in so many ways. The leather is thick, the coloring is beautiful, the form fit is tight but you can work that out in one night with a freezer bag, and the price is outstanding for the quality holster you get. Sure you can pay $200-$400 for a Mitch Rosen, but you will get no better holster for the price paid for a 1791. Their customer service is top notch in every way and they stand behind their holsters 100%. You can't beat a 1791!👍👮

I picked up a used 1791 leather holster with the mag holder at a gun show while back real cheap. It was for a 3-4 inch 1911, But I had a CZ 2075 Rami that needed a holster, So I wet formed it to fit the CZ Rami and it fits perfect with it. I do have a 1791 for my 3" 1911 nd love it.

Good utilitarian holster. No frills. Good EDC here on the farm where coyotes are an everyday problem. Carries and protects a model 23 well.

The gun sits a little high, if any, but nothing out of the ordinary for these types of holsters. It’s right about where I like it for my preference.

Beeswax don’t moisturize I learned that the hard way it only seals it and makes leather unbreathable use buck # 4 it’s cheap and safe on all leather no color change either

I used to use beeswax until I found black rock leather conditioner, I will never use anything else!

And wrap the gun inside two ziplock freezer bags for 24 hours and bick #4 while gun is inside holster after 24 will be perfect I’m not a professional I just have spent probably 1000$ on holsters befor I found one I like my input is just what I learned from failures
