Hi Reece - it would be great to see a troubleshooting/guide on your steps and processes on how you find faults, where you look and how you test different things. I've always had difficulty making a start and knowing where to go first. Just a recommendation for future content 👍🙏

I need to improve on the videos a lot, I need to invest in a camera stand that’s literally it and I can do a bit more in the videos.

It’s as I explain in the videos though. I have this to fix this is what I found evident to me and this is what fixed it. It takes years of experience and I’ve fixed a lot of devices, one day you will just sort of know what’s going on straight away and make good educated guesses.

there is a revision of this without Q1 MOSFET works perfectly in a 49 inch I picked up, the 2 caps are done in the old board but that MOSFET controller has toasted itself as well

Got here because my TV shat the bed. Those caps that blew for you are a lot bigger om my board. Mine are 100v 100uf lying horizontal on the board.

Just done a 50 inch panasonic with an ips17s..same 2 caps( 92 micro farad) bulged..one of them was completely open. Replaced them and off it went ..couldnt find any other issues

@@MrReeceyburger123forgot to mention the tv was only 3 years old. Maybe they had a bad batch of these 92 micro farads? Or like you say theyre pushing them to thier max

@@MrReeceyburger123ive just had a thought, these tvs have those backlight strip connectors that go bad and have high resistence , i must have fixed 20 of them..i wonder if these 2 issues are related, eg high resistence connections in the backlights is causing excess current draw through those caps . Id have stripped this tv down to check the connectors to confirm it but my backs gone atm 😅. Just a thought though.

Agree on the surface mount caps being unreliable. I see that in many you tube videos from (Norcal715) I just replaced the caps in my wife's car alarm. Every component (control module, shock sensor, remote transmitter) had bad surface mounts. I have the same ESR meter (ESR-70 Plus) as you. Wonder if I may need to replace the caps inside of it one day soon, lol. Its getting close to 10 years old.

Yeah I’ve changed so many of these, weird as they can be completely open and the circuits will still operate somehow most the time. It’s only because I test them that I know they are faulty, bad idea testing them haha 😭

I think the peak is all ceramic based, I don’t for sure. They are a brilliant company and will probably still be offering support in 10 years 🤟

I have a totally dead PS the same model. No power led or standby led. What you suggest? We had some power line thunder surge, and one more question please. Can a bad HDMI connection cause a totally dead PS? Thanks in advance .

Does.. reducing the backlight lower the strain on the PSU? Got a Vestel set with Android TV a few days ago (after previous.. frustrations with LG and WebOS).. and i decided to lower the backlight.. to 35. just curious tho, about what can i do to make it last longer

I have a Toshiba TV with the same boards as this TV. It turns on, the Toshiba logo appears, then turns off. the LEDs are fine. What can it be ?
@reacey Жыл бұрын
Shine a torch at the screen and see if the logo is still there after the backlights turn off.
@atakandundar17576 ай бұрын
Brother, what was the problem? The same capacitor you marked is swollen on me too. The TV turns on, it says Vestel, the screen goes dark. There is no energy going to the LEDs. What was the problem? Are you a writer? I use translation
