Wow, what a beautiful scene. I have to get those models. And many thanks for the details of your workflow 😊

Thank you:) The models are really interesting, otherwise I wouldn't agree to make such a video. The more that from the beginning my assumption was that if I recommend something on this channel, it must be something worth recommending. These 18 tips are not even a fraction of what could be said based on just this one scene. This is a more general outline of the stages and what to pay attention to in them. Because you could include many more tips, starting from how, for example, the color of the fence affects the player's guidance, to details like why, poppies are only by the road :)

Two things: 1: voice over is very-very important in tutorial videos. Say what you are doing, and why. Following the tutorial by reading is very hard. You can make it easier if you use colors that pop out from the video (so, if you are using the dark Unity theme, do not use white letter and back background, use colors that pop out, such as black or yellow). But really, do a voice over, that is the best. 2: use video chapters. They are very useful in tutorial videos. Just imagine: you have 10 tips, and you move from beginner to advanced. There might be someone whose knowledge is intermediate. Your advanced tips are useful for him/her, but becasue you start with the beginner tips (which they already know), they might leave after tip 3, even thought tips 7-10 would be useful for them. By adding video chapters, your videos will become more viewer-friendly. Here is a video about how to set-up chapter: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGKpoJKDlNmdbNk

Thanks a lot for your comments, I appreciate it :) 1) At the moment this is the most difficult activity for me - speaking English. As far as I know the language and I don't have a big problem understanding it, due to the fact that in my country it is not used on a daily basis, my pronunciation is too crude at the moment. I'm trying to change it so I think there will be voice tutorials soon :) 2) I just added video chapters to this video :) I try to do it successively in previous videos but that's why some already have it and some still contain info "soon.." :)

Wonderful job with this video! I think the only part I would've spent a little more time on is the post processing. I understand why you don't want to voice-over your video due to not being fully confident in your abilities to provide a voice over you would be proud of. But I think you've done a great job especially with the subtitles written here! You can use your voice only maybe for parts that require too much explanation for text maybe. But otherwise the subtitles are fine. :)
@SetaLevelDesign Жыл бұрын
Thx:) You can write and write about post processing and it will still not be enough :) Thanks for your support :) Sometimes the text itself is still not enough and I'm aware of that :) So sometimes there will be tutorials with text and sometimes with voice until we get to the stage of only voices. Everything in small steps :)

all your scenes are great in general but i see some flaws in the video quality like flickering and aliassing all over the place. how do you render your scenes in unity?
@SetaLevelDesign Жыл бұрын
Flickering is caused by the fact that very often I don't use built-in anti-aliasing and I don't use it because I first render the scenes to a normal build and then record scene with OBS. If I have AA turned on, then when processing such a video, youtube cuts out most of the details. You can see it perfectly if you start a movie on KZbin in FullHD and for comparison in 4K:)
@midnightrun4170 Жыл бұрын
@@SetaLevelDesign ok thx for the feedback but that doesn't convince me😅. i have rendered scenes myself and i can tell you it's not youtube compression, sorry that's bullshit.😉 why don't you use unity recorder?( way better rendering) it also has an anti-aliassing feature in the new version, try it out. i just want to help!
@SetaLevelDesign Жыл бұрын
@@midnightrun4170 I meant that the combination of anti-aliasing + obs + youtube makes the details chaff but it's possible that I need to change something in the recording options to make it ok. Recorder is ok but then I would have to record each shot as a sequence of images (otherwise my computer can't handle it) and then even at 2 FPS the scene would look smooth on the movie. But thanks for the comments, I'll try to find a solution :)
@midnightrun4170 Жыл бұрын
@@SetaLevelDesign yes that's the way i do it, render as image sequence and put it together in premiere pro (or video editing software of your choice of course) i'm pretty happy with the result. it's just you make always so nice scenes and then it gets destroyed by the overall quality. i'm sure you find a solution:) keep up the good work, i have an eye on your videos😊

Hi. I want to make somthing like this as a small game. How can i make sure that the player wont fall of the map?
@SetaLevelDesign2 күн бұрын
It all depends on what type of game it is. In such a small area, you might use soft borders. So most likely, when the player leaves the gameplay area, he would simply receive a message like "I still have something to do here" and then would lose control over the character and the character would retreat to a "safe area". You can also mix it with hard borders, in which case the fences that surround the fields would be impassable, and on the roads you can use the method I described earlier:)

Looks nice but whats mean "speed level design"?
@SetaLevelDesign Жыл бұрын
Thx :) On youtube, speed level design is creating a level/scene/enviro on a video that is speed up to show the whole process of creating a scene in fast motion. In fact, about 90% of videos have little to do with true level design. However, users who are used to the fact that this type of video have such a name, search for them with such keywords. Removing these words from the name, limits the reach of the video because KZbin recommends them much less often to people who enter the phrase "speed level design". If you want to find videos that teach level design, they are mostly called "level design tutorial" on y2b.

@@SetaLevelDesign Thank you for answer :) I know what is LD because I'm level designer and when I see speed level desing I think about new people in gamedev who think that this kind of video its real LD and in future have problems with understanding what is LD, ED.
