If you have books you really want to protect or are very rare it is useful to place them in a clear plastic sleeve and then throw a desiccant in the plastic sleeve with the book to keep out moisture, dust and bugs. I usually save desiccants that come in shoe boxes or bags to be reused for the books in the plastic sleeves. Books are organic so they can tend to get yellow and eventually crumble away but when you place them in a plastic sleeve with the desiccant it slows down the aging process and prolong the book for optimal use. Also another tip is to try to avoid putting the special books in rooms with extreme temperatures. If you live in a very humid climate where humidity levels are over 50% on average it also recommended to use a dehumidifier in the room and keep the room a comfortable temperature. Basically keep the temperature in the room even as much as you can. The last pro tip I can give is to just make sure to open the book throughout a couple times a year before putting it back away. Books have natural gases in them and they can get trapped in the pages and can be bad for your book if they stay there for long periods of time. It helps to keep the binding or glue optimal as well so the book wont fall apart from inactivity as well.

Hi, Seeing this video i have a suggestion. Can u pl make a video on medical reports, scan films organisation? It will be really helpful for a lot of ppl like me who have aging parents or frequent medical visits or patients at home.It leads to a lot of reports at home which are difficult to arrange and refer from time to time. Also xray or ct scan films are huge and take up a lot of space as they need to be stored vertically.
