So! If I recall correctly, you had said that box elder loses it's orange color when dry...Supposing you take the boards to the planer, dress four sides, (spray,brush, or roll) a clear Polly on the boards as a sealer, and then air dry the lumber.... What are the chances of the color remaining? Is that an experiment you would be willing to try? If it would work, you may be able to sell it as a premium board......Dan

I was told it loses it colour. But I’m going to find out for myself. I’m thinking there has to be a way to keep the colour I would imagine what you suggested should work. I have a 30 minute video of sawing box elder to upload we sawed a bunch of it today Sure I can give it a try. See what happens. I’m not sure if T.H.E Eddie horvath might know
