Another Vermont gravel biking adventure, this time with my regular guest Rob. We left from the good-old Highgate Center Park & Ride right over the Canadian border and headed East this time. While scouting routes on RideWithGPS and Google Maps, I found what looked like a promising gravel climb on Enosburg Mountain road that I'd never ridden before, and wow did it deliver! Over 4km long and averaging 8.4% (max 18%!) on a very rough path, it was still rideable and the forest and scenery was spectacular and worth it!
As usual I was on my trusty Mason Bokeh gravel bike with 42mm Specialized S-Works Pathfinder tires set up tubeless and it performed admirably (though it was a good thing I swapped the cassette over last winter for an 11-40 so I had an easier 34-40 gear for those climbs!). Rob was on his steel Marinoni Sterrato gravel bike with 35mm Pirelli tires... a bit underbiked for those climbs, but both the bike and he survived!
