my money on bleeped things are "did you guys watched new james bond movie?" and "Rami Malek" cause that's what makes most sense(at least to me) given the context: 1. Dave Batista was a henchman in one of the Bond movies 2.Charlie described him as playing a "villian" 3.Charlie saying the "the new XXXX" meaning it was a movie belonging to a Franchise. 4. The acting that Glen describes regarding the actor fits Rami Malek to a Tee. 5. When Glen goes too hard on the actor, Charlie jokingly insults him to get his Oscar , hinting that the actor won an oscar (Rami Malek - Best actor award for Bohemian Rhapsody)
@mihamelavc98702 жыл бұрын
Why exactly were they censored tho? I missed it
@mazy14992 жыл бұрын
@@mihamelavc9870 probably because all of these guys are in show business and usually actors do not openly criticize other actors ,it's consider impolite. (kind of like Grapevine in office environments) Even Charlie in the end went like "I kinda agree with you , but let's drop this topic" It was Rob's idea to censor that part of discussion , but they gave so many hints , it was easy to identify who they were talking about.
@kaskafi2 жыл бұрын
it could also be Jared Leto. "Did you guys watch the new Blade Runner?" 1. Dave Bautista was in it 2. Jared Leto plays the villain 3. "the new *****" makes sense for Blade Runner too 4. The acting that Glen describes fits Jared Leto too, especially the eye thing 5. Jared Leto also has an Oscar
@mazy14992 жыл бұрын
@@kaskafi There is a possibility for that as well but everything that was said also fits Rami Malek as well One of the BIGGEST difference between them is that Rami Malek has won an Emmy award for his performance and Leto NEVER won A Emmy award (Charlie implies that the actor also won an Emmy Award at 6:15) to me , the eye thing 100% describes Rami. No one denies Leto's Oscar Win in Dallas Buyers Club (and they were also discussing whether the actor's (whether Rami or Leto) performance was good enough to earn an Oscar) it was clear by the Charlie's mouth movement that he is saying "Rami Malek" at 5:36. But it's overall consensus that it's either Rami or Leto.

Charlie is right. It takes our bodies more energy to eat and digest raw food, so once we could start eating cooked food, that's what we started doing. Less energy spent digesting food meant we had more energy to do other stuff, including increase brain size. Not sure what the scientific consensus on eating cat food is though.

@@LDCDL I actually really, really doubt it's about wrestler-turned-actor. Considered the way they react to Glenn saying, "Is he? Is he a good actor?" It absolutely has to be about someone who is well-regarded as an actor, which no former wrestler is. (The Rock and Cena have some great movies, but they are well-known for playing themselves.) If I had to guess, it would be someone from Dune, which Bautista is in. The "Where's YOUR Oscar??" line and descriptions of him "really being THAT weird" makes me think Javier Bardem.

More than anything it's just the fact that animals can eat things cooked too and it would be better in many cases, but they aren't smart enough to know the dangers (or care). Lots of animals carry disease and other animals eat them and then get sick and die. Humans know the value of cooking food and boiling water to eliminate as much of the risk as possible.

48:25 Yes, Charlie is talking about a real thing, called the Expensive Tissue Hypothesis. The argument is that the two most energy-demanding organ systems - the brain and the digestive tract - are inversely related in animals. As the digestive tract becomes more efficient at processing food, energy is more readily available for the development of higher brain functions.

I'm no expert on hominin evolution, but I have read about 25-30 books (and dozens of articles) on the subject since my teens over 30 odd years. The Expensive Brain theory (bigger/more complex brains are very uneconomical to run, so their payoff must be evolutionary worthwhile: the theory is that brains of this type allow complex abstract thought which gave hominins the ability for many things, such as to plan and coordinate hunts of large prey which is very beneficial to a creature that must use wits and make/use technology to capture resources from animals to plants, which requires knowing/remembering seasonal migration patterns, how to track prey, which plants are safe to eat, and social coordination/interaction to enable groups to acquire resources, to name just a few things) is basically cannon now; but I don't remember how well received the correlative Expensive Digestive Tract theory is, nor how well any overarching theory combining the two is viewed. I do remember one book I read around 10 years ago called "Catching Fire: How Cooking Made Us Human" by Richard W. Wrangham that puts forth several theories on these issues. I'm going to be lazy and just copy part of a good review of this book on GoodReads that summarizes the arguments (at least how I remember them). If you google the text, you'll be able to find the full review: "The rest of the book argues that cooked food releases more energy (calories) than the same food would release if it were raw. This is true for both meat and plant-based foods. And the implications of this fact/argument are surprising. 1. Cooking softens food, and soft food is more easily digested and requires less energy to utilize than hard food. 2. Soft food allowed homo erectus to develop smaller digestive organs. Because of the “conservation of total bodily organ mass,” this allowed h.e. to develop much larger brains. 3. In all hunter-gatherer societies, women gather and men hunt. Cooking food further differentiated the gendered division of labor, so that women also became the keepers of the fire and the cooks. This also made women vulnerable, since smoke from a cooking fire can be seen from a mile away. Women received protection and occasional meat from men, and men received a cooked meal from women, and voila, marriage was born. 4. This model challenges the convention, as anthropologists usually see marriage as “an exchange in which women get resources and men get a guarantee of paternity.” In this model, however, men marry so that they are guaranteed a hot meal." tl;dr: Charlie is right and seems to be half remembering some scientific article (or perhaps part of a book) he once read.

For example, when Dennis left for several episodes those were the worst of all Sunny. Rob is the visionary. Big picture. Hawk flying in the sky with the "big picture" laser focus. Not the best of all the actors but he provides the direction. TO watch him laugh at this creation is precious
