Sound Guy here. The reason you need quiet grocery bags is because if your vocal take gets bag sound in it (which it will if your actor is using or touching the bag at all) us sound guys can't play and manipulate the audio from a clean starting point so it means we're ultimately stuck working with a layer of bag sound behind your vocal which overall will reduce the options and flexibility of the vocal. Getting clean vocal takes is especially troublesome with plastic bags because they crinkle right in the same eq range as most vocals so they mess up the take pretty badly. It also raises issues of phase alignment because if there are several actors microphones recording all at once, you would need to consider phase alignment because the bags would be recording into all microphones and if they were even a few hundredths of a second out of line due to latency, input or editing issues you'd have bad phasing issues all over the place (making the audio overall sound like shit). Hope this helps. PS: Big big BIIIG fan. Love your work

The conversation at the end about “never leaving the safe zone” of sharing with family was very relatable and unexpectedly impactful. Don’t cut that

I find it incredibly heartwarming to know that you guys are friends and make each other laugh all the time. It makes the show much more special.

Great episode guys love hearing you talk for an hour. The gang gets held hostage is for some reason the episode that I associate most with the show maybe it’s the first one that made me go wtffff lol. Also about the episode with the waves, you guys gotta do it! I know you’ve done it all, but think of it this way, people don’t just go to the pool or the beach only once in their lives, they go again and again. The idea of being angry at waves and mac getting sprayed down by vinegar is completely new and unique. Hope to see it soon!

I do think the line "DAMN YOU, POSEIDON" becomes infinitely funnier when set in a wave pool

Re: hostage negotiations: Glenn is out as he'd get annoyed the quickest. Mac I feel would have the best, most cogent points; but I'd send Charlie in as he's the most likable. He'd make the captor laugh and calm down and probably grab a drink afterwards

And Dee would do nothing, because she's just a big, dumb, flightless bird.

But how much does this guy weigh?

I've been catching up on these and this is the first time I've checked the comments and it's because of this exact question. Seeing ye lads here is probably the least (but also most pleasantly) surprising thing. I have a question for anyone that sees this. Mac Dennis Charlie Jay V1 OOC Which person would you say is each of the 3 lads from Sunny? I go OOC as Dennis because of how little bullshit he tolerates (and I'm sure he has a STEVE system). Jay as Charlie, arguably the most loveable guy despite potentially eating cat. V1 as Mac. I don't really have anything on this but I feel like if he got mega rich he'd also spunk a lot of his money on a very nerdy comedy like mythic quest and some shit football team.

Continue doing great things guys and Meg! Poseidon - Day Light Savings - Punching Waves -Dennis Reynolds’s? i’m there! also remember psycho pete returns? at the end charlie says you’re going to city of angels you can learn to surf…. possibly build on that?

Do you think they realize how much they are like their characters? It's honestly jaw dropping...
@YouShotMarvin2 жыл бұрын
It's more that they perform their characters with their own mannerisms/speech patterns. Rob is definitely the most different from his character and Glenn the most similar, but both of them act the same as Mac and Dennis from time to time at least based on this podcast.

Glenn needs to do something more with his Australian accent. It's the greatest thing I've ever heard. I need to see him play an Aussie in something!

You guys should do a D&D episode where Charlie is the DM. Frank will obviously take the Troll Barbarian role

I’ve always thought that the gang going to the jersey shore definitely needs more then 1 episode and the vinegar + punching the wave + getting jumped by kids on the board walk all fit perfectly together for one

Sooo first time seeing their pod cast.. shout out the crew for doing this as we all wish there was more sunny content. I an happy to say i have gotten 11 close friends/colleagues converted to the sunny ways and just love the show. IMO best show ever. #1 goal in life is somehow be able to sit down with the gang and have a drink and the shoot the shit. You guys just seem like you’d be fun to talk with.

It’s funny that Charlie said he didn’t think this episode was the best of that season. To me, it’s one of the top episodes of the series
