If you liked Red Hill, check out Mystery Road. Bone Tomahawk is a classic. *That* scene... I didn't remember it correctly at all because of all the talk around it. I recently rented it and had been expecting something much different. It's still squirm-induicing. McQueen makes beautiful-looking films, even if all his movies are all meant to make you think (Shame, 12 Years a Slave). He doesn't do cuddly. But he found the best cinematographer for his vision, and I think his movies are worth it for that. Lots of really good movies on here. It took me a while but I realized I like some more neo Westerns, or at least Westerns that fit in a very specific niche.

I LOVE post-apocalyptic movies and The Road is probably one of the best ones out there, as far as I know. It's been forever since I read the book, but I remember having to look away from the book during one sequence cause it creeped me out so much. I would love to find more movies as good as The Road. Before the Devil knows your dead is such a banger dude. The crazy thing is I never hear people talk about it which is unfortunate because it' has so many great actors in it and yeah dude Marissa is a bombshell I've been in love with her since the first time I saw my cousin Vinny. I never thought I'd be jealous of a guy ..... especially a guy as short as Joe Pesci lol but man I man she is absolutely stunning regardless. Also Philip Seymour Hoffman is hands down one of my favorite actors it's so unfortunate that after all those years of sobriety he picked back up again but addiction is terrible and very cunning. People sleep on him but I've seen thousands of movies and I'm a fan of acting in general. He really knows what he's doing and I guess I just like his style and the way he gets so consumed in the rolls he takes on it's truly amazing how talented he is and I think he doesn't get the due credit he deserves he's very underated and not widely known other than for his really big roles but he's very respected on the east coast especially in the theater scene. Thanks again for soo many great recommendations buddy I really appreciate it . I tell people about your channel all the time . Namaste -

the thing with Dredd is it was filmed in 3d. the whole idea of the drug they were working against was that it would slow your perception of time down drastically, so it naturally worked well with bullet time filming. the colors and depth of that film are just mind blowing. watch it on your quest2 if you get a chance. i own it and watch it every now and then just to gasp at it. the female cop, olivia thirlby, is really hot. the actor playing dredd, karl urban, having to be stallone while not really looking like him, keeps his helmet on, and is a perfect match. lena headly is more intense here than on game of thrones, if you can imagine that. really, i can't say enough about that film.

This dude seems to have a running theme of calling movies that are very common, unknown. The Cove is one of the most well-known documentaries ever. If you like messed up movies or movies from Japan outside of Godzilla, you've most likely heard of Audition, it's pretty widely known. Bone Tomahawk just came out a few years ago and was marketed to death. And if your fan of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Before the Devil knows you're Dead was one of the biggest movies he ever did. Dreadd is not a "little known movie", it was also a major Hollywood release. I'm shocked he didn't try to say The Road was some obscure movie that no one's ever heard of.

While I may not always agree with your choices, I dig the energy you bring to your videos. (Nothing to disagree with on this one.) I really like discovering new titles. Btw, if you ever do one of these about movies to hunt for, like you've done before, I have a very f##ked up flick for you. I probably have said this before, but Salvage (2006) is a muffed up banger. It is hard to watch, but has a twist ending to put M. Night Shyamalan to shame. "I see dead people" ain't got nothing on this movie. It's a more messed up more serious take on the whole Happy Death Day premise. I strongly recommend it.

Too depressing but caught it a third time after moving to Vegas to a less destroyed major city that is far cheaper and had far less things closed down. And, I was able to watch The Road. Tremendous film. Great srkection, again

Bone Tomahawk has one of the most goriest kill scenes I ever seen. It's literally like a Mortal Kombat fatality. A bit slow at first but it definitely picks up. Great movie. Definitely will have to check these others out here soon . 🙌

yeah that scene really freaked me out. I felt it was one of the most authentic looking and sounding westerns I have ever seen. their dialogue throughout sounded period correct - slightly more formal and much more eloquent than today's mostly shorthand speech.

Great list. Incidentally, both The Road and Audition are on my list of Great Movies that I Will Never, Ever Watch Again.

A messed up movie I just saw on tubi is Martyrs (2008). I will never watch that movie again. I love horror & even I had to look away.

Came to say, I can't believe that it didn't make the list. Definitely should be ranked above just about everything included.
