My brother -- I am *so very proud of you* for your actions that you've clearly taken to better *yourself!!* The absolute discipline & dedication that it takes to regain a physique of a 20-something y.o. man -- at the grey-age -- it is to lauded and commended. Kudos to you!! I'll be 52 in @ a month, and I too am in the best physical condition that I've been since I was @ 24! The biggest difference of doing it now as opposed to then is that I've noticed that it just takes more time for our bodies to heal-up from a workout that, perhaps, we went way too hard on. The Salton Sea is one of the best neo noir thrillers ever made and so few people have seen it. Trust me. After watching it you will wonder why it isn't more well known. It's sort of like a good DePalma movie like Carlito's Way but with a mysterious twist.

In Deliverance there's a scene where Burt Reynolds actually breaks his tailbone. Its when he's in the river sliding down a rock incline and you can tell when it happens. Which adds another hard-to-watch scene to a great movie.

The most interesting thing about the Stanford Prison Experiment is that it was all bogus. Zimbardo coached his subjects on how to behave. Kudos to the casting director, by the way, for finding a decent Phil Zimbardo lookalike.

Agreed, one of the most disturbing movies I’ve ever seen. Not sure which scene you’re referring to because there are at least 5 that make my stomach turn. Don’t want to give away any spoilers, but if you mean the scene with the women, I couldn’t get it out of my head for weeks and wish I hadn’t seen it. It’s a tough watch.

Another fine list of films. Definitely going to check some of them out. One note: Bad Lieutenant (Port of Call New Orleans) by Werner Herzog is not a remake. It's not really even a sequel, technically. Herzog himself said it had nothing to do with the original, other than the title.

I remember seeing Bad Lieutenant back in the day. Heavy film. Arlington Rd is excellent. It has stuck with me ever since I first saw it. Great story telling. Lynch and Napoleon Dynamite are two of my most favourite things so I must check Greener Grass. And lastly I’m an Aussie and completely missed Nightingale when it came out so definitely going to look for that one.

Deliverance is so good ... nothing fancy or elaborate with the plot ... high creepy factor ... realistic to a believable degree ... great cinematography ... and well acted all around, even by the author of the book.

Thank you. Because I watched this video tonight, I went and watched GREENER GRASS. Very odd and often very funny movie. A good recommendation. I can see the comparison to Napoleon Dynamite but I think the latter is a better movie and bizarre elements flowed with that plot. In Greener Grass, many of the bizarre elements were just unexpected and out in left field. I think it would fit in better with the universe of The Lobster where people just accept the bizarre things around them. They do that in this movie too. So worth a watch. D'Arcy Carden as the teacher has a few of the best segments.

The curve basically happened to me in hs. In english class we had to partner up for a project. One kid didn’t have a partner so i told my buddies id be his partner. They bitched at me but the kid was a decent dude. I sat next to him. He just wasn’t very social. Over the weekend he died. When i went to english class the teacher must have thought we were close because she just gave me an a on the project and told me to grieve. It was strange. I barely knew him. His first name was Chris. He played the guitar. Hung around some old friends of mine. Didn’t drink or do drugs. Like many of us he didn’t wear his seatbelt in the backseat. My friend rolled the bronco and he was tossed out. He died at 17. Way too young.

Kill List and the Curve are very good. Kill List has a Wicker Man vibe at the end and the song at the end of the Curve is great too. Salton Sea, The Nightingale and Deliverance I've seen and well worth watching.

Burt Reynolds once sid that Dewliverence was shot in sequence so if they had a injury they could work it intothe movie, and how in once action,scene he was swept down the river,and when he got out of the river all his clothes except his boots had been ripped off him and he had to walk back 1/2 mile to the set just in boots and birthday suit.. good list
