Been waiting for this update for a long time. I'm so glad everything worked out! You did a great job. The plant is even more special now since you brought it back from the brink of death.

Wooh! That was a journey! Glad your baby turned out as beautiful as the proud plant mama that you are!! More power to you Ms Erika!

I would recommend a squared pot that is longer than wider. E.g. there are plastic pots 40x20, 50x20, 80x20 so she has lots of place to crawl a get very big :) Also I was very surprised as I saw the price for what you bought them. I think you can buy rooted cuttings with super big leafs for 30-40€. I bought a small dark form, which is much more rare, for 45€.

This gives me so much hope, i bought a beautiful 3 leafed Gloriosum last yr and she tanked withing weeks, the seller ghosted me and it was a whole thing. Turns out they didnt just send me a sick plant, none of us got our money back and they vanished into the night 😡 Anyway she was down to just a 3 node stump which no mater what i done just kept rotting down to the last slither of node which out of nowhere pushed out a teeny warbled little leaf, it was like it knew this was its only chance to survive because a few days later the last little slither of node ritted off. I felt like this leaf because there was a miniscule 2nd leaf bumb that potentially there was a minute node in there so just incase and to gives her one more chance a gently cleaned her and popped her on a teeny tray of moss and back into my tent, anyway im here a few weeks after doing this and theres 2 little roots and a whole tiny 2nd leaf, plants are amazing and witbh their last bit of energy they will try to survive, so if you have a new or old plant that suddenly goes from happy to really sad, just keep trying and don't give up on it, as i guarante the plant wants to live so live with what Erika done, a little tlc and some patience and you could save that precious plant 🍃

I hope your plant thrives!!!! It’s so sad to watch them decline, but as long as the last bit stays alive & growing 🤞🏼also wth is wrong w the seller they will get the karma they deserve

Could you do a final video going over how you would propagate it knowing what you know now? Would it have taken as long as it did if you used the prop box method from the beginning?

Yes that’s a great idea 🌸

That's what's up. Hey Erika, ever consider having a live session like once per week, so that those of us who request advice and consultation can get the answers theyre desperately looking for? There's a huge vacuum in the plantosphere for live events, and networking in general

Are the gloriosums still priced like that from where you guys live? Due to the plant prices going down, you can basically get big gloriosums for 350 pesos ($7)here.

Omg what country are you located?
@anniegee4099 Жыл бұрын
I bought Gloriosum from random nursery in the villages but recently I just saw it there's no red-pinky thing in the new leaf. I thought is that a real Gloriosum or it's Pastazanum?

Why do you take the dirt off the roots when you change the pot?
@ErikaLodes2 жыл бұрын
I wanted to completely change the soil otherwise I would’ve just potted up like normal ☺️ I’m planning on keeping it in this pot for a while unless it grows too fast

Oh man this is not the video to watch while drunk. 1:40 you're so nice . Kind of scamming yourself though. I mean they sent you a plant with rotting roots. Its not like the roots were alright when they shipped them to you unless it took a few weeks to get to you. 2:37 you're so lucky lmao That is awesome though you're skilled enough to save something though.
