@@jimmccabe801 Actually, here in most of Europe, the commander of the first engine on scene makes a "SitRep" situation report, if it appears to be a threatening situation for the direct environment, then yes, they will first ensure a safe working environment for themselves, next for all the civilians in the surrounding and only then start fighting the fire. But in this case, from what I could see, there was still low risk for the fuelstation to catch fire. Also, I notice that often in the USA there are litterally minutes between the arrival of the fire-engine and the moment they start blowing water on the flames. Here in most of Europe water is on the fire within seconds in such scenario.

I was just wondering at the time where was the police for traffic control. It was ridiculous how vehicles driving through the fire scene. Was police ever called?
@troo_story3 жыл бұрын
Hello, this is the United States Police helpline. Thank you for calling. Please be advised that your call may be recorded for security purposes and also as a training aid for future generations to see what an inane and fatuous question this is. My name is Mystic Meg and I will be glad to help you today. Firstly, to avoid future embarrassment and humiliation, you may find it helpful to buy a "dictionary". This is a big book which contains all kinds of helpful information such as "grammar" and in the more advanced version, "punctuation". You were not there at the time, so it is not possible you were wondering at the time "where was the police". Reversing the subject and object of this sentence may have begun to make some sense. "Police" is an organization and could be referred to as a singular entity in the way you have; this would in theory make your use of "was" permissible. However in this context, it would take several police officers to control traffic and therefore the correct grammar would have been "where WERE the police", and "WERE police ever called". Regarding your second sentence (a group of words put together to form a meaningful expression), we have been advised by a 3-year old from the Dipshits Preparatory School that "...how vehicles driving" is completely unacceptable without the missing "WERE", and that even one of their 2-year olds would likely not have made that mistake. Finally, sitting as you are, in the comfort of your own home with not the slightest knowledge of how anything works but with well-developed and instant ability to criticize whilst being ignorant (colloquially referred to as being "moronic"), your question is directed at a group of people who can never provide the information you require (i.e. KZbinrs none of whom were present the incident). However, you do demonstrate good skills in relation to displaying criticism and arrogance despite inarguably having not a clue what you are talking about. We thank you for calling the United States Police helpline and for being a great example of our proud mission statement: "STUPIDITY CANNOT BE CURED".
