Teams couldnt comprehend what kevin was at 19 hes a once in a generation talent and people thought he would be a bust cause he was a slim player.

He was averaging 8 more points per game than the record as a FRESHMAN (2:07). Portland really screwed the pooch

Damn what the hell was Portland thinking Greg Olden...unless Mj Magic Bird Kobe Lebron are in same draft there is no justification for Durant not going #1. He’s was truly unguardable even at 19 his IQ was there.

Durant IMO was so much more superior than Oden even before his injuries. Centers don't win championships SMH Portland

ummm 99% of all titles In history before 2010 were won with an elite bigman. Tf? jordan was the first guard without a star lead bigman to win a title. and that was half a century after the league began. and we didnt see it again until the Miami big 3 and curry's warrior's. Maybe u dont need a big in todays game to win. But in every other era, that has been the opposite of the truth. Bigmen win titles more times than not
@TheIcemanthomas4 жыл бұрын
watchful news what does that have to do with what I said? Those two only account for 8 titles in over 7 decades. Like I said, centers do win titles, as history suggests. Jordan was the first to do what he did, and kd has never been the one and only focal point of a winning team. His titles were won with another guy being the focal point of the offense
@TheIcemanthomas4 жыл бұрын
watchful news or your just projecting your hate to someone else. And yes, technically kd did get his rings easy. But I don’t discredit him for that, even if my personal feelings towards the move weren’t great. I take it for what it is. Secondly, once again that has ZERO to do with the original topic. Your defending something that doesn’t hold weight historically. I don’t care what u feel. Someone saying centers don’t win titles when it took 50 FUCKING YEARS for a lead non bigman to win a title without one star bigman is factually incorrect. There’s been 3 teams to win a title without an elite bigman. 6 if u don’t want to count bosh, green, laimbeer, and love as premier bigmen. So in 74 years, 4 non bigmen led teams have won titles with a lead guard or wing as the franchise player. Please tell me where I am wrong here and try to stay on topic instead of ranting like an idiot about kds rings and teammates. I never said a thing about kds teamates or jordan’s or how easy he got his rings. I said he wasn’t the franchise piece on that team, CLEARY or he wouldn’t have left. He said it himself and has been saying it since he left on every interview. So stop the bullshit. So that would be jordan, zeke, curry/kd, and lebron. That’s it. That’s 6/72 bud. I don’t know your level of math but that’s not a high percentage. Do the math,. Acknowledge the statement, and stfu forever. Have a nice day.

watchful news see this is why I don’t talk to people like u anymore on here.. u speak in opinions and zero facts. Every I said was an absolute fact. Nothing u can debate. Nothing u can make up. FACTS. Do I have to go through every single title team and prove this to u? If u aren’t willing to read what I said in full and learn then why is this conversation necessary? I said what I said. U can keep up this bullshit ur spewing but it doesn’t change the facts. Look it up yourself instead of just speaking on shit u clearly have no clue about.. I’ve said my peace. Take it or leave it, cause the back in forth with someone who has no real argument or rebuttal is redundant. That’s like me having all the evidence I need of you killing someone in court , and u thinking ur opinion will make u not guilty. Look if u want to have a real educated discussion, hit me up and I’ll be ready to educate u. Until then, have a nice day.
@TheIcemanthomas4 жыл бұрын
watchful news false. You’re projecting yet again. Like I said. U don’t even understand what’s going on because ur too busy ranting about nothing. Find me the statement in all off my comment where I justified Portland taking down over Durant or Bowie over Mj. Never said any of that. My gripe was only with the last statement and was an entirely different conversation that has ZERO to do with the Durant comment at all. But leave it to you to create an entirely new conversation based off of nothing that was said and then rant on it. Then when u get picked apart for doing it, u result to childish banter. Once again, I can’t debate with children because u don’t know how to react in an adult manner and converse without blowing a lid. Grow up, learn to debate properly and not on emotion. Have a nice day.

One of the things that get's forgotten about KD's historic freshman season at UT, is the help from his PG, DJ Augustine, who's had a 14 year NBA career that is still active. Having a PG that can feed you like that made it easier for KD to be able to dominate.
