They do, and yet. Tell your children from very young you love them-it makes it easier to say. I grew up in a family where we loved each other but couldn't say it. My own child says it freely, and I'm glad about that.

The head nurse at this hospital is such a remarkable and kind lady - just cares so much. sometimes these days its rare to find nurses in it for the need to help people and not just for money. she is definitely in it to help others

My best friend passed away suddenly 3 days ago and the one thing I got to say to her in the 5 minutes I had with her was I Love you. I'm thankful I said that. 🙏 Never miss your opportunity to tell your loved ones you love them. I feel very sad for the son that he can't say it and has also never heard it from his dad. There is power in those words whether you know it or not.

@40:00 ish. He claims to have never said "I love you" To his father, but I'm pretty sure he did. He gave his father a prayer, kissed his head, and stayed with him the entire time. All acts of love, his father probably always knew that his son loved him, and he loved his son, they just said it in a different way.

At the age of 88 I would not be wanting major surgery. I believe as we get older we should make our next of kin aware of our wish’s and have a DNR on our medical records. This would take away pressure from our loved ones.

What if a person wants to live, and does not want a DNR? What if a person's wishes are for doctors to do whatever it takes to save them? Don't you think that it's each person's right to decide whether or not they want a DNR?

I've done geriatrics, med-surg-peds, oncology, rehab, hospice for 52 1/2 years before retiring this spring. We never use the "Q" word because we all believe in Murphy's Law, & Murphy can speak English & will hear us! I can remember one hectic day, when I was a Ward Clerk, we'd been running around like an anthill had been kicked, all shift. It finally calmed down to nothing, & we were able to relax just as the next shift arrived & saw us sitting there, doing nothing!

that was the thing i hated the most after my dad died. i spoke about not saying i love you to him and him not saying it to me, and all anyone ever told me was that it was okay because he knew. but that’s not why i was upset. i didn’t SAY IT. i felt i should’ve said it and i didn’t. i feel differently now but it frustrated me to no end.

I noticed the way they put the rubber band on to take blood. They stretch it & tie it in a knot. I'm a phlebotomy & it's very painful for the patient. There is a better way to tie it, less discomfort for the patient & easy to pull once you get the blood you need.
