16:00 the dinosaurs who survived the KT extinction were already birds long before that. Birds exist in 150 million years, at least some very primitive birds did. Teviornis was a neognathae bird (the same infraclass as the ones flying around today) that was dated to around 90 million years ago. So when T-rex was walking around there were already birds flying overhead.

Rather than 10 metres high, (which is only a third of the height of Japan's tsunami), a more accurate estimate of the tsunami height was 1000 metres, about the same height of the displaced water from the asteroid. Unfortunately that error of 10 meters has been quoted more and more since someone first started with it some years ago.. The largest tsunami in memory was the 1950s alaskan one from a landslide of only a small percent of the mass of the asteroid, and it reached 1700 feet in height!

why are the dinos always roaring in these videos? @fromnorway6436 ай бұрын
Wrong! The _only_ living descendants of dinosaurs are the birds. The closest living relatives of dinosaurs not being birds are crocodiles, but they evolved around the same time or slightly before the first dinosaurs in the Triassic period. Archosaurs are not a species. They are a large clade that includes birds, crocodilians, and their extinct relatives. So there have been thousands of species within the archosaur clade.
