youre probably thinking of the older mechanical injection diesel stuff blowing shit tons of smoke. Theres no way around that, because of mechanical injection, anytime youre at full throttle its pouring 100% fuel. These newer electronic injection trucks help eliminate some of that because the injectors arent mechanical.

For the people saying it smokes to much before the turbo lights up, so you know, the fuel ratio is higher to keep the engine as cool as possible because of the lack of air. it cleans up nice when it lights, but until then the extra fuel acts as coolant source in the cylinders. The exact same thing you see on sled pulling trucks.
