Thank you for letting us know you & Maureen & the pups are OK. The size of this is just too hard to comprehend. I'm glad you brought up the people who have lost everything (like having a new baby) that don't have the kind of money many celebrities have, or have no insurance. Thanks for mentioning the dogs! There are two different kind of dogs used, search & rescue, also cadaver dogs. They have different skills and are amazing! Remember, they have such a difficult job & can end up with depression like humans. Bless you for all you do. You have such a kind heart! Enjoy your time in the UK!

Thank you Leland for an update. Humility and tragedy have been joined at the hip as long as memory. The best of our humanity comes together to a consensus during a tragedy. An accusing broadside against those in the midst of tragedy is a short coming that darken the better part of who we could be.

Hello lee. Thank you for the update. I saw a short video where a fireman was interviewed and he looked beyond tired. But still he said. I gonna have a few hours of sleep and then I’m going back in. THATS bravery and perseverance. I get many videos on my phone from those planes that drop water and fire retardants on those fires. That’s an awesome sight to see. All those emergency crews deserve a medal. Please stay safe sir. Greetings

Thanks so much for the update! We are so heartbroken at all the devastation. We have friends who lost their homes in Altadena including a recording studio. "An attack against a NATO member shall be considered an attack against all members" - so the USA will be attacking itself? 😂 It's a waste of time. Greenland's main population is Inuit people, and they will gravitate towards other North American tribes, so that will happen anyway. And secondly, the USA already has military control and is authorised by treaty to react to any aggression by an outside force.

I'm still on tree watch. I have a 60 year old tree that's about 70 ft tall in my front yard, and a big branch fell on the roof in the wind. Fortunately, there was no damage, but it's not the first time I've had a branch from that tree crack off and fall. I have arborists scheduled to look at it. I would hate to lose it - it's the only tree I still have. I had to cut down a palm tree years ago. BUT. I would hate even more to lose that end of my house or to have someone walking by, or a car parked in front, destroyed by another falling branch.🤞 I love Scott Devine! I look forward to seeing that hang. Bon voyage!

We had to take down a 35 foot tree near our house because of wind damage and 47 years of annual arborist care of all our trees. We had wonderful visitors including a Red Tail Hawk. Loosing a tree is as difficult as the loss of canine or feline.

Sending love from across town in Tarzana to you and the Firefighters and all to those evacuated and all those who have lost far too much... The Firefighters held the flames at the northern top of the Topanga Forest Park about 2mi from our home for two days non-stop. Cant believe the fire made its way all the way North nearly to Encino. We definitely feel the guilt even though were not quire through it yet and we keep telling ourselves that the recovery is going to be a marathon, not a sprint. We're going to have months of chances to go and volunteer and help our fellow Southern Californians, and we will.

NAMM begins in Anaheim next week, on the 21st, with thousands coming in for it. To folks hoping to attend, please make every effort to leave as many hotel and motel spaces as possible for those displaced by fires. If you have to share a room, do so. There was a huge fir tree across the street from us, that the owner told us he had transplanted from their cottage some time in the mid-1960s. An immense and majestic tree that had a nesting pair of marlins (a small type of hawk) living atop it. Well, in May, 2022, a dorecho hit our area and split the thing at its waist. The part that fell straddled the whole street, blocking any cars. It took a day's worth of chainsaw activity to make the street passable again. The rest of the tree is still there, but the marlins had to relocate, and anyone who can remember how tall and majestic the tree used to be have an ongoing reminder of what isn't there anymore. You might not think that humans get attached to trees, but we do. Enjoy Glasgow. Wonderful city. Take a tour of the city chambers if you can. More marble than the Vatican, we're told. Feels like you're in an Escher drawing. The street beside it was used for the filming of the zombie invasion at the beginning of the film World War Z.
