Why People Get Stuck In The Shitty Situation:A lot of gang members come from a broken family whose family came from a broken family.The gangs provide the young boys and girls with the illusion of family,fortune and social status.In reality as they get older they get led astray from school which gives them next to no options in future life so without get possibility of getting a sustainable job they turn to the older guys in the neighborhood to maybe sell some weed or sell some coke,they think its temporary but once they're in,they're in for a while.While for them the money seemed good because they didn't have any to begin with the majority of the profits went to the higher guys.Eventually when they're 18 or 20 they will be asked to put in work or perform higher acts of crime like murder.And when they are caught and are behind bars they realise that their whole lives were an illusion and that the family they thought they had simply cared about the money.So the guys who realise that when they go back to the hood they might not want to start the cycle again but "They don't know nothing else" so what we start seeing is the young people of the hood starting the new generation of their gang.Because their father or mother werent there they wont be there for their kids so their kids will most likely follow the footsteps of their parents.Why I think you guys made it out was because you had that motivation and drive to become something other than a statistic of how many people were killed,OD'd or were put in prison from a certain neighborhood
