Thanks Tony for the demo. On your capacitance measurement to the standard the Matrix had a higher percent error than the other LCR meter as your table showed. I have the East Tester 100 kHz model and I have the same cheap BNC cables that you have as well as basically the same LCR meter. However my BNC cables and the LCR meter are very easy to make connections and with a smooth locking action. Maybe a production run problem with yours? The interior of the Matrix looks very nice and as you mentioned a nice linear toroidal power supply. Again thanks for posting and congratulations on getting a pre-release model!

Hello John, Thanks you, yes the EastTester is not bad at all.. my RoShui/Victor is an ET inside. Yes maybe i buy better Kelvin then that is solved. i am very happy with it. did not mend to make an compare, but fell for it a bit.. to show quality you need some sort of baseline to compare it to.. Yes very happy with the pre-release :))

Thanks again for your video & teardown. I got the MCR5200 today (Amazon Prime day) for 530 €. Since I work a lot with a Uni-T UT612 handheld LCR meter, I was keen to get something "better". As always, your video convinced me that I need it ;-)

Great work on the LCR meters, Tony! I have a B&K Precision 879B and an AccuHard USB model (now defunct). I have the same calibration box you have too. I'm looking to upgrade my bench LCR meter to have better specs but with USB to PC connection with software. As a statistician, I love getting the data into the PC, lol. Keep up the great work...I'm catching up on some that I've not yet had time to view. 73, Frank K4FMH

How do I zero the matrix 5200? Need to take multiple capacitance measurements and should probably zero the meter between readings...

Hi, i think do the calibration that you find in the manual, than you are good for a while... because its a 4 wire.

Of course a good LCR meter could be a plus in every lab. I've 3 in different benches, one is 20khz, and 300khz the others 2, to be honest the first 20k model is more than enough for almost all the jobs I must do and it's precision is absolutely confirmed by the biggest brother 300k unit. I use it just for audio building, eq's, compressor, limiter and so on, for quickest repair I prefer to go with a portable tweezers one because isn't important if you see on the screen 9,8 uf or 9,99998 uf, same thing for the ESR measure.

How the nano henry range is accurate in this meter. Seen very fluctuating and weird results in many of the LCR METERs

Hi Hamid, if i understand correct, you set set frequencies to: 40Hz、50Hz、60Hz、75Hz、100Hz、120Hz、150Hz、200Hz、250Hz、300Hz、400Hz、500Hz、600Hz、750Hz、800Hz、1kHz、1.5kHz、2kHz、2.5kHz、3kHz、4kHz、5kHz、6kHz、7.5kHz、10kHz、12kHz、15kHz、15.7kHz、16.2kHz、20kHz、25kHz、30kHz、40kHz、50kHz、60kHz、66.6kHz、75kHz、100kHz、120kHz、150kHz、200kHz

Is it possible to achieve a degradation mechanism for an electrolytic capacitors using an LCR meter by either considering a thermal or voltage overstress. I am aware one can adjust the voltage for the DUT of the LCR meter but is it possible to have the capacitors placed in an oven and measure with the LCR meter continuously. I look forward to your response.
