I don't know if this project is public or private, but one idea would be to allow buses to use the express lanes for free.

I just saw a pillar that looks like it’s for a flyover going up on the east side of MoPac at Anderson. The video doesn’t go past Steck. What’s going on a little further south on the other side of the highway?

Looks like Steck is losing it's SB on ramp in favor of an off-ramp for Spicewood springs? No details listed anywhere on line for what this is doing further south to the existing on-off ramps or how disruptive it will be.

What happens to the existing Mopac SB entrance right after Steck? Vid ends right before showing that... is it being moved down / southward? Hopefully, because big neighborhoods depend on that entrance.

Ok, I think I understand from what little is shown at the end of the vid... an immediate SB Mopac entrance after Steck is no longer necessary with the new collector-distributor road's non-stop flow provided past Far West entering before 2222... correct?

@@jacobsonhome Apologies for the delayed response, indeed the collector distributor road is meant to ease congestion in this area and allow drivers to bypass the traffic signals at Steck and Spicewood Springs. The MoPac mainlanes entrance off of the MoPac frontage road right after Steck will be shifted just to the south of its current location.

Public transit is only good for people that take it just for work and then go back home. Texas cities are too big for public transit to start working. Most low income people live outside the city, wealthy or middle class people are not going to use public transit. 😅

Are you kidding me!? All this work and not adding an extra lane southbound on 1883 from the non expressway into mopac? Regardless of more express lanes this is a major choke point.

Yeah, and SB MoPac traffic exiting at Steck still gets dumped into one backed-up left turn lane a hundred yards before the intersection.
