Even as an April fool's joke, I can't but appreciate that for once, we got a KZbin channel making a video about the history of Marvel... and make it about the events of the comics instead of the events of the movies. (shakes head) The flaw in the Anti-Strucker Alliance was not taking advantage of all technology, scientific and mystical, at their disposal on all sides. It they had, they could have assembled an elite trio to defeat Hydra, possibly with an alternate as needed. Using time travel, the current top power trio could hav been brought back. Latest analysis indicates that might be the trio of DMC 5 Vergil, Red She-Hulk, and Dat Mango Sentinal, although information has been changing rapidly in recent months. Still, a new age of heroes would have indeed taken Strucker for a ride. #freemvc2

You absolutely have to do a WWII special on the Hydra Army. Just who were these guys? Where did they come from? How were they recruited? What were their motivations for joining the Hydra army and fighting and dying for Hydra? What was their training like? What equipment did they use and where did it come from? What was daily life like for a Hydra soldier? What were the relative benefits and drawbacks as compared to the major national armies of the time of being a Hydra soldier? What happened to those who became too old to fight and mustered out of the Hydra army? What about support staff like cooks, orderlies, medical personnel, etc.? Who were they and how did they wind up a part of the Hydra army? The questions just go on and on.

You said the opening part with such confidence that I was second-guessing myself as to whether I really recognized those names and maybe the comic-book Hydra had been named after a real island important in World War II (especially since I'm catching up a week later so don't have the date to guide me). Not for long, but you told it well!

How Indy kept a straight face and delivered that entire narrative with the same tone and gravitas he does when discussing the dead of the WW1 western front or Stalingrad I'll never know, but i loved every second of it. Excellent April 1 video. As to Hydra... I can only hope Steve Rogers recently being rediscovered in the ice he was rediscovered in after being refrozen can once again help put a stop to its nefarious deeds.
