I'm trying to behave, and start stockpiling my ancients, either for a guaranteed event in the future, or maybe a 2x ancients during a champ chase for a future fusion! (Or I'll likely buckle and spend them all if an Armanz/Gnut progressive event occurs again :P) I did, however, get EXTREMELY lucky pulling all my soulstones, as I got 5 stars for Arbiter, which I desperately need to get closer to winning the speed race for live arena, and a 6 star for both Geomancer and Lady Mikage! :D I'm on the last few rounds for getting all of Geo's masteries, then he should be getting me some awesome progression! Really looking forward to what 2025 has in store for your channel! Always one of the first raid channels I check on the daily :)

I kind of wish Arbiter would have been a 6 star, to get that extra speed, as even in bronze 2 of Live Arena, I still get outsped by teams, and it's so frustrating lol I wouldn't even be touching live arena, if not for the dumb advanced quest :P I'm in dire need of better speed gear for her, but I can never get the substat rolls to go all into speed, and getting more speed gear from dragon is, well, a drag lol Ugh, yeah, with how long Plarium took to finally give you Geo, hopefully a better Arbiter soul is due to you this year XD

Right?!? I generally don't enjoy pulling soulstones. It's almost always a super frustrating experience. I have, however, gotten two extremely good souls from stones in the past year - a 5-star N. Archer soul, and a 6-star Gnut soul. So, sometimes it works out, but it's a long wait in between successes.

Just go to your soul roster, and you'll see a golden helmet under the icons of the champions you already own. Here at 21:05, there is no golden helmet, which is why you don't have "Arwydd."

Congrats! I think Hansel is solid - better than Gretel, and better still if you have both. Roshcard is one of the block damage champions you can build an unkillable CB team around, so if you haven't solved your UNM Demon Lord, he could help you with that.

I've been shifting my views on the debate between buying dust vs soulstones recently, leaning towards soulstones more. I've been applying finance/economic perspective to help with the decision. In finance there's a concept of the time value of money (or TVM) that compares the present value of an item/option vs the future value of an item/option. Essentially is $X in hand today worth more than $X tomorrow? While a 6* soul is very powerful for any given champion, it can take months or even a year to complete just 1 champion. Not only do you have to gather the appropriate amount of dust but you also have to get lucky that they show up in the shop 1-6 times (depending where you start) and there are nearly 300 legos in the game and the shop cycles through only 4 legos twice a day. During that time you are limiting your ability to improve other champions and potentially missing out on events that could improve your account in the meantime. So unless you are absolute end game, where improving 1 champion is all you might need, it's better to cast a wide net IMO and use coins to get additional stones that can be used as currency for guaranteed events (champs/souls) and/or possibly deepen your roster strength by getting lucky on as soul which can help you push farther in content and compound the growth for your account. For me, I'm still pushing Hard Sintranos & Marius/Ramantu missions so improving the depth & quality of my roster makes more sense than targeting a single champion.

Thanks for the comment. I understand your position. I've had that debate with myself before as well. I will say that buying souls with essences, while slower, gives you more control over the results. For instance, that's how I got my Seer to a 6-star soul. That one soul has made a huge impact for my account. I often have to pull 6, 8, or even 10 5-star and 6-star souls before I get one for a champion that actually matters on my account. I'm finding that one good approach is to save for essences most of the time, but purchase stones if there's an opportunity for extra value during a 2x event. I'm happy with that middle ground so far.

For the stones/coins equation, I buy the immortal stones using the mid-tier coins. My reasoning is that there is a decent chance I can land a big soul that can be converted into the big coins even if its not useful.

I'm saving for essences most of the time, and buying stones only if there's extra value during a 2x event. That feels pretty good to me, but I think there are several reasonable approaches, so we should all just do what feels good for our accounts.

You are better off joining a cluster that has noob to end games clans you can progress through

Clans which focus on new accounts generally end up with lots of inactive players unless they are part of a cluster. Keep looking. If you're an active player, you should be able to find an upgrade from your current clan. Then, once your account is stronger, you can upgrade again or try to grow your clan from within. It's a journey we all have to take in one way or another. Good luck!

I doubt it'll happen but i really wish Plarium would acknowledge that they have like one of THE worst mercy systems in all of gacha games. They dont have to change it, but adding a tab that shows your pull history would let people track their mercy much easier. Its the least they can do for having the worst mercy system in tye genre 😂

One of the factors of opening the Chinese market is that China has laws regarding how gacha games can operate. One of the laws requires full and conspicuous disclosure of drop rates and mercy systems. As a result, Plarium may be forced to put a mercy counter into the game if they want to operate in China. Will they put that counter into the European and NA versions of the game? We'll have to see.

My double were both empowerment dupes, some useless things called wallmaster othorion and harima. One of my clanmates who is fairly early game did the big bad and got 2 good champs so we are debating should he six star his new ukko or padraig - I am leaning towards padraig

Congrats on your dupes - very good champs to empower. For your clanmate, it really depends on what they need on their account. Both champs have speed auras (though Padraig's is dungeons only) and a speed buff. Ukko has a buff strip/block buffs combo that is crazy useful, plus a decent AoE dec ATK on the A1, and an AoE revive. Padraig has the ally attack, turn meter fill, continuous heal, cleanse, and a chance at cooldown reduction. I have both built, and I use both frequently. I'd say Ukko has slightly more impact on my account because she's a little more versatile (good in both PvE and PvP), whereas Padraig is a PvE beast. Both great Hydra champs as well. I'd definitely build both in the long run, but for now, without knowing your friend's roster, I'd lean towards building Ukko first, just because her kit is a little harder to come by.

Not bad on the pulls. I try to force myself to save to buy on soul upgrades. I won't say that I always do it. Sometimes just yolo but the casino wins in the long run vs yolo. On the opposite hand, the lottery can't be won if you don't play. I know totally conter advice, also probably added into casino odds. Just do what makes you happy. The odds still are heavily against you but at least you took a shot.

With the medium soulstones, I haven't quite found the optimal calculation just yet. It feels like F2P should save, but whene there's a little extra value like right now - with the double chance AND the Winter's Path even - it feels like that teeter-totter may just totter to the other side. Hard to say, but it's close enough that I don't feel bad about buying 2 extra stones.

My best soul pulls were a 6 star Chaagur and a 6 star Zargala, I don't know if I'll ever pull Chaagur and I already have a 6 star Zargala, I still got a few upgrades though, 5 star Anchorite and a 3 star Rotos. My double Legendary was a third Loki and Arix, my daily log in champion at the moment is Scion so a decently early Arix and eventually a guaranteed Faction guardian.

From my luck with my pulls on my main and alt, I'd say they are pushing people to go to mercy. On the main had to go to 201 before getting the lego. Dupe Tatsu and 3rd Zavia. On my alt had to go to 200 before pulling Foli and a Dupe UDK.

I got lucky and pulled Othorion and a dupe Armanz yesterday, so I did get some great pulls on the last day of 2024. Also had to pull 3 sacreds for Noelle's soul (luckily I have Santa's 5* soul already) and got an Islin, which is not too bad, since I didn't go for his fusion. Not sure I'll build him though. And from the medium stones I pulled a 6* Rathalos BM soul 🎉 Had to sell a bunch of souls to get more stones, something I also don't do usually. Good thing I went for the soul this time around, Othorion will really improve my Hydra runs.

@ColredPlaysRSL honestly I'm sorely lacking good speed/fast gear, but I'm probably still going to build him out for TTA and Siege. He's still a threat even when slower with stone skin. He's not a priority for now, especially when it comes to books. Othorion, Gnishak and probably Noelle will have priority. Almost hoping the next fusion is not too great so I can focus on building the champs. Hardly had any energy to run Mino lately.
