I just ordered this kit today. I really wanted the Ver. Ka back when it first released, but something told me to wait and I'm glad I did. Tbh, this is probably my favorite mobile suit design to date. I always wanted a Sinanju kit and now I have one. I can almost bet the stickers for the sleeves markings will peal off over time eventually. Painting them is probably the best way to go to insure longevity of the detail. Hail Zeon

Just realised that it is missing the Beam axe it is using in the movie. these have a longer handle than those of the Sinanju. Shame that despite all this extra plastic, they couldn't squeeze this one. I can understand the hguc missing those (barely) but the MG.

My original sinanju is holding the combined gun up just fine, but it does limit the posing of the gun to front facing. If you want a photo I may be able to email it.

I'm actually planning to buy this and the red sinanju because it's so menacing and I think seeing it with normal high grades and how it towers over them it just feels so right the sinanju should have been bigger and taller

Same here for the bazooka mounting, i already put it on a correct way like the manual but the way they wanted it to be mount is not great cause its really like holding just a little on the edge, but Zack be aware of the ball joint of the articulated finger when u wanted to swap with fix pose hand cause i got mine a little stress mark on the ball joint cause its soo tight when u put it on the hand, so be careful

I think the mount for the bazooka on the back in general isn't great as it's an issue with the original Stein ver Ka.

if im not mistaken, there's a seam running down the middle of the sleeve marking on the wrist, it's not visible because it's covered up by a sticker, but i thought maybe that should've been pointed out, since i remember you mentioned that the molding of the sleeves is kinda shallow, and it will probably make the reverse wash technique a bit more difficult after all the sanding from fixing the seam.

ah i did forget to mention it. but it shouldn't hurt the depth too much, if sanded properly. I may do a quick video on that just to cover it anyway though!

Hmm.. Water slides for the sleeve markings maybe effective.. Still kinda lazy not doing part separation at this price.. When the RG has parts separation.

i think it's not so much about what they CAN do but consistency. the MG sinanju sleeves parts are like this so they made them the same here. the separation was a gimmick for the RG. imo, as i said in the review, i didn't like how the detailing on the RG didn't have the fine sharp edges like on the MG or HG.

Regarding the arm drooping from the rifle-bazooka combo, you could do one of two things: tighten the joint in the elbow and shoulder to chest joint (best route, but results may vary based on tightening method and how you perform it). Or you could get a small action base like Action Stage clear (with the very skinny, three point of articulation arm), you can do that too (doesn’t look as good, but involves less work and is guaranteed to work). Just rest the forearm on one of the hands (of the base) and it should be fine

I think the Ver. Ka is better looking without the Sleeves markings, it costs less, comes with waterslides instead of stickers for the various warnings and markings and it has a far superior box art.

Febre Gundam own the ver ka and the only thing it's got over this is the waterslides. You can literally make the og ver ka with this kit and still have extra weapons. not to mention it has 2 hand sets! One static and the other 3.0 set. I've been waiting for that since for ever!

I would prefer if Bandai give us both option of fix-posed hands articulated hands like MMK did, it gives you more option, for wielding weapons you can use fix-posed but if you want cool poses you can use the articualted hands, a lot of people don't prefer fix-posed because you have to carry them around when you want to take the model outside.

I'm still surprised this isn't P-Bandai all things considered. I've never been able to get my regular Stein Ver ka to hold the bazooka on the back skirt, even if I get it one it falls off at the slightest touch. I'm honestly contemplating picking this one up after I eventually get the Sinanju OVA ver and display them next to my Sazabi ver ka.

Thank you!!! Mecha Gaikotsu always complains about the Sleeves markings on these kits and the guy doesn’t even make an effort to up his painting skills. The fun in building models is to put in some work and paint the kit and make it look the way you want.

I see that as a good aspect from him. I think Gunpla review should base on out of the box result. We have a lot of good color separate kits at this 20', even RG Sinanju has separate sleeve. It helps you decide what you get on what you paid. Mecha Gaikotsu, he also mention that you have to paint here and there which is true but he choose not to. I think that is fair review. For the paint aspect it is subjective for each person. This kit look amazing but in term of design, you can see how lazy of Bandai which result a lot of unuse part and a lot of sticker to create color separation while you have to pay more for those unuse part.

Reasonwalker W I may have overreacted on Gaikotsu’s criticism but I feel that we the consumers are becoming lazier and expecting perfection out of every Grade line. It’s always good to see improvement but it reaches a point where you’d be better off buying a metal build figure if you keep wanting so much out of a model kit.

unused parts and the need for color correcting stickers isn't bandai being lazy, it's them being cost effective. they'll use runners they already have, even if half of the runner is useless, cause it's cheaper than designing a new runner. small minor color adjusting stickers like those used on this kit are a small price to pay in comparison. gotta remember bandai is a business.

I don’t think Bandai could of made this a P-Bandai. As this MS had been shown to be a big player in the new movie they are hyping up, it would seem like a bad move on their part to make it a hard to get item. I know there’s the clear versions of the main suits however, there are normal (non clear) versions already available.

Im kinda confused, is narrative happened before Char counter-attack or after Unicorn, cause i know the Zeon remnants eventually kidnap this guy. I did watch couple of shows bit it kinda back and forth between past and present timelines.

I was too, turns out 'Narrative' is actually a rework of the MSN-06. The original was taken and turned into red sinanju. The Narrative movie is set AFTER unicorn (can't remember but like 5-10 years I think) and this is actually a NEWER model than original Sinanju stein and the red one. Again, stolen and 'sleeved'. Havent seen the movie yet but that appears to be the timeline.

Narrative is set in UC 0097 so it's after cca and 1 year after unicorn. First there were 2 normal white sinanju steins which were an efsf suit. Both got stolen by neo Zeon. One got made into this and the other got made into the red one from unicorn.
