My dad bought a 70 Mach brand new in 69 right after he graduated we still have the car and it was rotisserie like six or seven years ago when we did that it had 35,000 original miles and it is SCJ 428. His is factory candy, apple red with white stripes. We have never seen another one from factory with white stripes.

The TKO is a 5 speed. I have a T56 Magnum in a fox body (83 Mercury Capri 5.0 RS) with 3.73 gears. It drives awesome.

I Just did my HS 1967 coupe 390 4 speed Mustang. Bought it in 1980. I did a custom mini tube 4 link with watts link along with a coil over front end. Its now a twin turbo as well. Ive been working on it for the last 6 years.

I was brought home from the hospital on Dec 1st 1977 in a boss 302 mustang.. it was the orange colored one with a 4 speed.. mom had a canary yellow Cuda..

we did a 65 convertible a few years back when i was doing restoration work. customer had it coyote swapped with detriot speed suspension before it came to us. strut towers definitely had to be cut out to fit the coyote.

Roadster Shop FastTrack or even a Spec chassis will put the Mach 1 build on another level and really make it SEMA worthy being that it will just be another Mustang amongst the others.

If your memory is good, the original Gone in 60 Seconds came out in 74 with a yellow 71 Mack 1 Mustang and in the new version with Nicolas Cage it was a gray 67 Mustang Fastback Eleanor

69 Boss 429 with the upper rear fender scoop is my favorite model of Mustang. I built a plastic model of one when I was younger. I saw a photo of a 460 swapped Pinto with the scoops grafted into rear fender just below quarter window.

All ‘70 Mach 1’s had the plastic honeycomb piece on the rear panel. My first car was a ‘70 Mach 1 back in 1973 so I look forward to following this build!

You’re going to need hydro boost and take the shock towers out for the coyote to fit. Also they make a 20” and 18” magnum 500 wheels that look like the rendering. They’re not cheap but much cheaper than having some wheels made. I love that car and remember y’all picking it up ( hadn’t bought it yet) . Go to mustangs unlimited for your parts. Great quality and ship quickly. No affiliations just know from experience. Hope you read this

The honeycomb is held by chrome strip on top and bottom. Mach 1 on the rear is on the trunk lid and are metal and stuck to it. I have one too since 85! You and I are very tall and have a tuff time fitting so what I did was take the seat base and cut 2 to 3in to lower it and move it back 4in and weld them in!

Rod Shop is an Australian company. They do similar things, not full chassis, but upgraded suspensions, conversion kits etc etc.

If you're gonna have the seats reappolstered and add to the boulster and that maybe you should emboss. Coyote boss on the head rests in the old boss font. Font

to my knowledge only the 1970 Mach1s had the honeycomb taillight panels, and those metal rocker trim mouldings are 1970 only also, the metal tail light bezels are 1970 only too. cool project👍

Gonna be an awesome build. As far as the honeycomb rear panel, all 70 Mach 1s had it. 69s did not. Same as the lower side mouldings. 70s had it ,69 stripe only.

i built a 68 ELEANOR CLONE went with the rod shop chassis the best move i made simple lay in the frame body over it saved many hours of work !!

I've heard of coyote valve covers hitting vaccum brake boosters on these early mustang swaps. Something to look into possibly.
