I can only try to imagine what one of the users of this privy would have thought if a fortune-teller of the day had informed them that, in a hundred years, millions of people would have nothing better to do than to watch agog with amazement, from all over the world, on thin little magic boxes, someone digging every damn thing up out of their toilet. And, everyone, oohing and aahing over it from all over the world, like it was archangel feathers or something. 😂

This is the 2nd of your videos I've watched. I love, love the old glass bottles. Having spent 9 winters in North Dakota I'm amazed so many of them, with liquid inside, are unbroken. As hard as the ground freezes in ND in the winter months I'd think all those bottles would have been shattered by freezing long ago. And now I wonder what you do with all the bottles. I also love the little bios you include on what came in the bottles. My one 'ask' of future videos you post is that you post a pic of the bottles cleaned up and displayed upright. Keep up the good work.

Every time you unearth a beer or liquor flask from the use layer, I picture a guy (with the full bottle in his pocket) saying “I’m just going out to the privy, be right back”, then ditching the now empty bottle down the hole and when he comes back inside, nobody is the wiser!

I was one of those guys. Don't know why I thought I had to hid all my empty booze bottles. Everyone but me knew I was a DRUNK!!! BUT not me.. Well I PRAISE JESUS that's all behind me. God woke me up July 14th 2002 to the truth of what I had become. I begged God and my wife to forgive me and for God set me free from the addiction of booze. And HE heard my plea and thanks to God sending me to see a group of recovering drunks I haven't had a sip of booze since. And those recovering dunks still help me not need a drink. Life is ugly at times, but not as ugly as it would be if I mixed booze up with it... It's not been a easy road But with the help of GOD and a group of recovering drunks. I can always make it one day at a time... Be blessed in Jesus name... BBE...

@@BelowthePlains Very cool dig. It's a real testimony to the past glass makers, that their stuff can survive their lifetime and most likely a very rough burial. I'm not an authority on lightning rods, but none of the ones I've seen have ever had insulators on them. They're all tide together with a conducting wire, that goes to ground. What you may have are house knobs. That's where power lines hook up to the building. Possibly for old telephone/telegraph lines as well. Very beautiful. Now it's all porcelain. Not beautiful.

Hey Tom, do you know what kind of seeds it remained from the fecal matter? Was it hemp seeds? Cuz I know I eat hemp hearts and if you don't grind them up you just pass them in your pool. I was just curious. They probably would have a shell on it obviously. But these are all you know their hearts hemp hearts. It's a really good form of omega-3 plant product cuz the fish is getting pretty much toxified these days cuz of the ocean pollution. So it's better to eat things that are plant-based unless they're how other situations. But anyway hey, keep up the great endeavor! Do you ever get to Kansas? My family 2 story home was built by the railroad when it came through Waterville Kansas. It served as the Depot office and railroad hotel for the railroad before it was sold. Have pics of house from that time with outhouse sidewalk wood planks running north south behind the house used from 1870s to 1940s. Today you can see a big long dip next to the sidewalk running for 40 yards after removing rosebushes, given to the railroad house from an opera singer, who got them from the California Rose garden on her return trip back east to dampen the smell.
