My Grandmother rode the 'trolly car', the the end of North 18th street, in Lafayette, to Purdue, she worked in the Union Hall, for a nickle a day, that covered to and from. She made 10 cents an hour.

not surprised by this cause most trolley tracks were just left in place & paved over
@gmftrainvideos7 жыл бұрын
Were they? It fascinates me to think what all must be buried underneath streets lol.

yeah when GM, Standard Oil & Firestone replaced them with buses! I just saw a story on 9news in Denver of a water main break & for a brief second I saw a rail! Had to of been from the extensive trolley system they had Ft Collins, CO is a good example If you Google Earth the streets around the downtown area you will find trolley tracks still in the pavement Which is why I'd build a Birney Trolley car that runs on rubber tires! So I can do vids & pix of the trolley on the former tracks hehe the one in The Changling is Shjould be some behind the scence vids on that movie in here

well I bet there are lots of cities had their trolley lines paved over & until the road gets repaired or redone I bet they do find rails
