1888 Singer No.12 Ruffler on VS2 Treadle Machine

Here I demonstrate how to use the 1888 Singer No.12 Ruffler attachment and the No. 13 shirring cover plate. The pieces were found in the wooden puzzle boxes that came with these sewing machines. The sewing machine I use in the demonstration is a fiddle-base Singer VS2 (vibrating shuttle) model made in 1891, so it is 123 years old and in remarkable condition for it's age.
