This is an extensive tutorial. Although you may wish to view the video from start to end, I have included timestamps to make it easier for you to focus on any individual key areas:
To date, this is most comprehensive tutorial on the tablet that Hype Performance Group includes in its MSFS 2020 H145 Airbus Helicopter. I fully illustrate from the basics and take you to what is now the cutting edge of what is possible. Key and new points include how to install new missions and update the tablet so that these will display as options, how to use the Scenario Editor for firefighing (both of these require the H145 Action Pack add-on), and a groundbreaking 'Event Tester' app, which allows you to operate almost any botton or switch in the aircraft from the tablet. The timestamps are as follows:
0:00 Introduction. H145 Tablet Deep Dive
2:00 Finding the Tablet(!) - and example of customised wallpaper.
3:00 Update on where to find info on the Autopilot
3:51 Doors, Autopilot, Lights
5:20 Switch on the Aircraft lights, what they mean, and how to interpret the position of an aircraft from its lights. Includes the HISL (High Intensity Searchlights)
9:30 Aircraft Settings - Crew. Let's open the doors midflight.
12:00 Aircraft Settings - Equipment.
18:45 Aircraft Settings - Options - weights, measures and a huge number of customisable options.
23:00 Aircraft Settings - Setup - using a gamepad, and varying sensitivities of your equipment etc. Starting from cold and dark and shutting down from flight to cold and dark. Helpful if you wish to start anywhere in the sim that is not on a runway.
25:00 The Metar App - and how to interpret the weather - a quick guide to get you started.
27:30 The Web App - access Flight Tracker duing your flight.
28:00 EFB Connect App - download from the non-action pack vairant. Allows you to view the internet and videos on the tablet whilst flying. Example of a wire-strike being replayed on KZbin within the sim.
30:30 The Map App. You might be surprised at just how many options there are on the Map - for example it will highlight railway lines for you to follow.
32:00 Show Navmap on the tablet. Switch on Sim Connect.
33:00 Use Navigraph on the tablet (but also an example of how the GTN750 offers more versaility)
34:10 Alarms - set a timer or an alarm for a specific time of day.
34:50 Missions, including how to load new missions into the tablet - worked through.
37:30 Helimed mission, including some of the pitfalls.
47:30 Scenario Editor program - linking this with the tablet, to create your own missions. I set fire to a runway and put one of the fires out.
57:00 News on the Direction Finder.
58:20 The fabulous event tester - which allows you to click on any button or switch (granted, maybe not them all), in the cockpit. A great addition to the aircraft designed originally for testing whether key commands are mapped correctly, and a shout out to the folk on the discord app who were so helpful and quick to come back with support.
