From a humans emotions it hurts to watch... but We can't put human emotions in to it. In the wild whenever a conflict happens its the silverbacks job to stop it and discipline. He could really hurt Gentaro if he wanted to and this was along time coming. A zoo keeper once told me that the silverback has to be rough at times to prove hes a good provider. Bless this family. Although, I hate to see Gentaro hurt and sad, I love this video. It shows us how loving mama Genki is. She reminds me of myself with my kids and with my husband. The unconditional love is strong. Despite, Gentaro deserving the discipline from papa Momotaro mama Genki was still trying to protect her boy. And I love how papa Momotaro had mama Genki's back. I love this gorilla family. I love how Gentaro stood in front his dad so apologetically then went to mama. And at the ending, sitting next to his dad ❤

Tout à fait d'accord avec vos propos. Il y a une hiérarchie dans une troupe de gorilles que chacun doit respecter et le dos argenté est là pour rappeler la règle même brutalement s'il le faut. Il n'est pas question pour une jeune de faire n'importe quoi, ni d'agresser sans raison la femelle dominante avec un petit. Genki étant la seule femelle est la femelle dominante et dans la mesure où elle a un petit , elle est protégée , normalement pas le dos argenté face à une agression. Cela étant, les conflits quels qu'ils soient sont toujours réglés par le dos argenté dans la troupe. La façon de faire peut paraître brutale, mais il ne faut pas se leurrer, les gorilles (et on l'a vu entre Gentaro et Kintaro) sont plutôt brutaux entre eux sans que cela ait de conséquences. Ils sont suffisamment forts ( musculairement puissants) même à l'âge de Gentaro pour supporter une morsure (contrôlée) du dos argenté. Si ce dernier avait décidé d'être vraiment très agressif avec Gentaro, il n'en aurait fait qu'une bouchée. Non! un dos argenté contrôle sa force dans sa troupe et même s'il peut faire très peur (ce qu'il a voulu faire ici) il ne blesse que très rarement (et toujours sans le vouloir) un membre de sa troupe.

We’re use to Genki doing way more to interfere but she walked away quickly after she hand gestured. She’s usually stay to scold momotaro but she didn’t. She’s falling into place as well.

Gentaro has been doing some really nasty things at times to Genki, I honestly dont know how she does it! For a small time I thought Gentaro was settling down some, but then he was back to grabbing and dragging his brother, which puts my heart in my throat! He has deserved some of dads tough love, maybe now he will settle a bit, cause he does love his dad! Genki when she waved her arm like "oh please dont fight" was so cute!!! Nice video, today!!

At least dad done what any father would, he told the child to respect his momma. In other videos the son had plenty of times to be warned but dad had enough and that's awesome. I love watching this family and he didnt hurt him. Dad was rough but not to rough and then the son went and stood and looked at his dad, you could see he was saying sorry. Brown Rabbit yes. Genki has been getting steamed potatoes because they are out of the grass that’s easier for her to chew since she doesn’t have back teeth. So she gets extra food/ care from the keepers that’s good nutrients and gentaro was jealous.

I think Gentaro acted impulsive. He saw his mum get some more food he waited for. I guess he has a lot of hormones running wild being a teenager. Momotarou did his job as a Silverback and father but he didn't hurt Gentaro much. Gentaro didn't limp and he didn't have any wounds but he was looking for some to use as sympathy wounds (my opinion). Genki loves Gentaro and would never let Momotarou hurt her boy bad but this was long coming. Gentaro needs to know that action have consequences. Now this is discipline at its finest.....this interaction lasted maybe a minute or 2 and message received....Bravo Momo....No permanent injuries and all is quiet on the Homefront....Talking is overrated and most of the time futile in our society, especially with adolescent's and teens...and let's not forget about C.P.S....So No this type of discipline is not acceptable in our society but it sure works and certainly makes an impact because Momo never overreacts and is very gentle..So when Big Papa gets pissed, watch out....He played his role to Perfection as a Silverback and head of his family....You just dont hit your Mom PERIOD...Gorilla or Human it's just not acceptable...This family is AWESOME and at the end of the day there's nothing but LOVE real unconditional Love....❤🙈🙊🙉❤

I loved the way mum steps in to calm the situation down so even when gentaro is a handful she didn't want gentaro to be badly hurt if she had left the situation badly god knows what would have happened to gentaro due to dad's fit of rage oh my goodness for me that was frightening to watch thank goodness for mums quick response from gentaro,s de-stress the way he sceamed oh Phew wee all is calm down now thank goodness. I hate to say it but it was bound to happen. Gentaro has been pushing it and momotaro has let it slide a lot by giving stares. Genki will usually defend gentaro and scold momotaro a lot but she is not going up against momotaro as much as she use too. Her job is done lolol Hope all is well.
