lee under the little arm on that flapper for the four barrel is a small allen wrench head and then theres a spot for a little screw driver it tightens and loosens the spring tension on the secondarys try lighten up the spring tension its under that thing you were touching in previous video. hope ot woeks for you

That little metal ring holds that inner seal in on your speedo cable. Instal seal (flat out) then install that metal ring clip. Find something with same diameter to push the seal into housing, then push metal ring into housing. Also check that plastic speedo gear for excessive wear. If it has a groove wore into it wear that seal rides on it, replace the gear because it will still leak otherwise.

There is one seal and then the clip u found. To assure it won’t leak we in the trans industry use two seals the clip should just fit to keep the seals in the Speedometer bullet.. u can trim the thickness of the seals to make them fit..

People don’t really realize how much time it takes to restore car like that because I see Stacy David, and the guys at hard rock TV edit all the footage together and it looks like a weekend project. That’s where a lot of guys go wrong thinking oh I can do this kid Stacy, David did it by himself in a weekend well it can’t be done at the Mo in months and months. They are not project commitment thing and most guys don’t have an errand to do that much work.

Temp sensor is too long but you can order an extension adapter that’s brass. That should tidy up your Thermostat Housing. Good video as always.

somebody made that cross member its cery simple to do with a welder abd grinder cutting wheel. did you look at that allen head screw under the arm piece on the four barrel flapper

You may need to take the speedo gear out of the original trans of the SS & out it in the current trans to get the MPH corrected...

That bushing you got with your trans seal, is for the tail housing. Good to replace when changing the seal (4 bolts remove housing) Looks like a plastic bag got caught around that rear end eh?

I would think the Elco door glass itself would be worth as much as the doors. No clue if it would be worth selling just the glass and the doors being sold separately . I enjoy what you do.

To keep costs down, why don't you get brake hoses and speedo cable, rotors. calipers brake pads, from the parts pig? Also, the wheel opening moldings and rocker panel moldings? I agree with keeping prices as low as possible, keep up the good work...

I don't understand why you would not hook up the oil gauges on all your cars.that is as vital to your engine as the temp gauge.

The oil sender that came with gauge doesn't fit. If you lose oil pressure then the engine is most likely done and needs to be torn down and probably rebuilt which is more work than I would do to these old engines, I'd just as soon replace it. So, not as important as temperature that can be fixed easily.

Did you install the original circuit board that was original to the car? The circuit board smoked because the plug in is wired different than the one that had the clock. Hope you now have the original board installed that matches your plug in. You can run a seperate pwr. feed from fuse pnl. to pwr your clock.

The board that originally had the clock was burnt up so therefore the clock was the problem since it started smoking when put in the car.

@@clunkersandclassics The suggestion I was offering was, If you installed the plug from your car into the board that had the clock, the two would not be compatible and more than likely you would have a short circuit on the board where the traces for the clock. (was the board short circuited before you installed?) possible why the dash lights not working correctly too.

The clock may have worked fine, try hooking a power and ground to it seperate from the board. (although may be smoked now since shorting on the board)

Your secondaries won't open if yhe choke is not fully off. It will lock out secondaries

There is a lock on the secondary’s that will unlock when the choke opens on a quadrajet. Choke has to function properly or delete the lock
