I think you not wanting people to touch your stomach is a primal mothering instinct. Your brain is telling you to protect your baby at all costs so when someone's touching all over your stomach I felt the same way. I was worried they might press to hard or something and cause damage. The darkening of your hair is probably due to your prenatals but it should go back to normal after you have her. Best wishes and good luck on the rest of your pregnancy! 😘

I remember when people at the grocery store would come up and grab at my stomach. I did not appreciate that violation of my personal space.It carried over after my daughter was born and turned into strangers trying to pick her up out of her stroller. I know people love babies but I wish they would consider the parents feelings.

That's absolutely shocking! So sorry you had people behaving so rudely toward you. I can't imagine just touching someone without permission, let alone picking up a stranger's baby without permission! The only time I could see it justified was to stop a runaway kiddo who was at risk of being hurt, but that's clearly not the case if they're trying to get her out of her stroller. That must be so scary.

I'm loving this so much. When my friends were all pregnant, I was with my ex and miserable (though I didn't know it at the time) and super, super anti pregnancy so I wasn't like super into everything then, but now I'm single and happy and myself again and watching you go through this pregnancy... I'm just so grateful that you feel comfortable sharing it all. Some of the symptoms you've talked about no one ever talks about, so it's very interesting to me. And your bump is adorable! You definitely are allowed to say No to the people who are pushy about touching your bump though. It's your body. Nobody is entitled to touch your body without you being comfortable with it no matter what's going on. Congrats on your baby girl! 💜💜💜 Much love and light to you and your little family.

You don't have to let people feel your belly if you're not comfortable with it! People are not entitled to touching your body, even close friend and family! (and not even talking about strangers wanting to do so without even asking, they have no business doing that). I feel so strongly about this subject because as a disabled person using a wheelchair when I get out of the house, people I don't know seem to think my body and my wheelchair (which is an extension of my body) is a free for all. People touch my face out of pity, they take stuff I'm carrying without asking to "help", push my wheelchair without thinking it could hurt me (I've been severely hurt before by someone pushing my wheelchair down a step even though I repeatedly told them NO). I hope you'll feel more comfortable in the future saying no and making sure people respect your boundaries, I know it is hard and it feels like we're mean but we are absolutely not :) Thank you for sharing this beautiful journey with us, I wish you three all the best

If you think the movements are weird now, just wait until you're in the last few months! You never get used to it! When I was pregnant I also hated most food except for chocolate. I started making what I called my pregnancy milkshake. Frozen banana + chocolate protein powder + scoop of peanut butter + extra cocoa powder + soy milk and blend! It ensured I started my day with a good amount of calories and nutrients so even if I barely are the rest of the day I didn't feel so bad about it.

Ahhhh I knew it! I just had this strong feeling since you first announced you and Alex were expecting that you two were going to be having a baby girl. I don't know why I have a strong feeling for these things never used to lol. When I was pregnant I just knew I was having a boy and when the scan confirmed it I just knew by looking at someone that they will have a boy or a girl. Think I've only been wrong three times. It's strange but fun at the same time 😃

Duuuuude!!! ✨❤️💔✨ This is all so sweet and reminding me of my pregnancy days! The gender reveal is one of the most unique I’ve heard of, ever. A surprise even to you two; SO cute!!! The thicker hair on the belly; I remember going through that too and being like ?????? WHY AM I A BEAST SUDDENLY 🤣🤣🤣 It does go back to normal, or did for me anyway, but it was a bit of a surprise at the time! Feeling the movements and SEEING them roll around in your tummy is theeee best. That was my favorite part of the whole thing. I’d always lay in bed after work and just watch my son do his thang. Parenthood is a wild ride but it’s literally the most fulfilling thing in the world. There are extreme ups and extreme downs and little versions of everything in between but it doesn’t stop being magickal, ever. From the time they’re born until forever after. Congratulations, mama and papa!! You’re in for quite a treat!

Congratulations. Baby girl is halfway here! UK guidelines might be different, but in then USA you don't have to monitor baby movement until 3rd trimester. Before then baby isn't always moving or moving strong enough to feel. I was there twice, so I understand the worry.

I was exactly the same. Had so many girls names picked and couldn't decide on a boys name. I ended up having a boy too. We ended up naming him after one of our favourite video game protagonists because it was the only name he seemed to respond to when he was in the womb. It's like he picked it himself. Your little girl is gonna have such wonderful parents. You both seem so happy and ready to be on this journey together.
