I show the simplicity to replace a weak or bad horn on your truck. Takes about 15minutes at worst to complete. New horn assembly is about $38. Need a plastic pin removal tool of sorts, 10mm socket/wrench, and a T15 Torx Bit. Tool links on Amazon listed below. There are two horns. A low tone and a high tone. My low tone went out. So replacement is an easy option you can DIY.

The dealer wants to charge me $700 for replacement, because the bumper has to be removed, thanks for the video, I'll do it myself

It really isn't that difficult and I didn't not remove my bumper to do it. Dealers just want your money.

Did some more research on why these trucks don’t have a specific relay for the horn switch and to my surprise many forums say it’s built in to the fuse box circuit board beats me 😐 I decided to buy the horns and install them myself as this video has the easiest explanation of the job Let’s hope that is the issue bc if not I’ll be pissed

@@MixedGrid To my surprise, I bought the horns as they were $50 and I didn’t want to take apart the items necessary to make the replacement and not have the part on hand, I took off the original horns to inspect the connector and nothing seemed broken, so I put them back on and took it to the dealership from where they last worked on it and also bought the replacement part And told them to connect it back correctly while I made the return for the part that I bought bc it wasn’t working due to them not connecting it back correctly so I had them fix their mistake

It’s a good how to replace the part video… but I am searching for a video that shows how to diagnose the issue bc the last thing that one wants to do is buy a part and the issue remain I’ve located the fuse on my truck and it’s good Checked the horn switch and all contact point make contact All the connections look fine but I could not find the relay to check it and rule that out of the equation For some odd reason the fuse box in the engine bay does not say anything about horn relay

All you would need to do is unplug the power plug. Then probe it for 12v with a friend pushing the horn. If it doesn't trigger 12v then it's not reaching the horn and likely the horn is fine. If it does get 12v, then the horn is dead.
