Sir if turns/bends are composed of 4 AA, in this 2 should be made of glycine & proline(non polar AAs) and other 2 AAs are involved in H bond/ionic bond for stabilization of bends..how is the surface of protein be charged from this?

Thanku so much sir...i have one question sir..whats the chemical structure of beta bends ,non-repetitive and super secondary structure like alpha helix?
@AwesomeBiochemistry Жыл бұрын
Beta bends, also known as beta turns, are regions of a protein where the direction of the polypeptide chain changes abruptly. The chemical structure of beta bends can vary, but they often involve a hydrogen bond between the carbonyl oxygen of one amino acid and the amide hydrogen of another amino acid four residues away. Non-repetitive structures are regions of a protein that do not follow a regular repeating pattern, such as alpha helices or beta sheets. These structures often result from specific amino acid sequences and interactions between adjacent residues. Super secondary structures, also known as motifs, are combinations of secondary structures that occur together in a specific arrangement. For example, an alpha-beta motif consists of a beta strand followed by an alpha helix. I hope this helps answer your question! Let me know if you have any more questions or if there's anything else I can help you with.
