honestly if schools around the world could teach some basic sign language, that would be great. this will give children the skill to communicate and be more inclusive of each other. you never know, this "basic" skill may even help them in the future at part time jobs etc. i think it would be a big step towards inclusivity!

That's true. Somewhen, I heard that most US people are able to use basic ASL; I'm not sure if it's true or not. If so, Deaf and some Hard of Hearing people could be able to communicate easier than trying to talk in speech. We all know that inclusion in society is important but when attending to primary and secondary schools it's hard to learn sign language even if a student is Deaf or Hard of Hearing because the teachers do not know basic sign language...😕 If the student doesn't go to Deaf school, we/they cannot learn sign language during the school period. Also even if we/they could learn, most of the other people do not know ANY sign language.😵

초등학교 2학년 학생입니다. 저는 오른쪽 귀는 들리지 않고 왼쪽귀도 거의 들리지 않습니다. 저는 일반학교에 다니고 있습니다. 학교에서 친구들한테 보청기를 착용한다고 놀림도 많이받고 수업도 하기 힘들지만 친구들과 친해지고 싶어서 친구들게 수화를 알려주면서 친해지고 있습니다. 지금은 잘 들리지 않지만 언젠간 제 귀로 자유롭게 들을수 있다는 희망으로 하루하루를 살고 있습니다.

저도 청각장애가 있으신 분과 같이 일하는데 조금만 노력하면 수화를 못해도 의사소통 하는데 문제가 전혀 없어요. 그리고 본인들이 조금 다르다는 이유로 의기소침해 있거나 하지 않고 오히려 저보다 유쾌하고 긍정적이여서 놀라기도 하고 많이 배운답니다 . 그래서 그런지 이 영상 너무 마음에 드네요^^

예전에 대학다닐 때 청각장애우 도우미를 했었습니다. 수업시간에 같이 들어가서 교수님 말씀을 친구가볼 수 있도록 워드에 쳐주는거죠... 구화(입모양을 보고 무슨 말인지 알아듣 는 것)가 어느정도 되는 친구였지만 교수님이 칠판에 적으시며 말할 때 그친구는 제가 치고있는 워드에 의존할 수 밖에 없죠. 마음이 아팟던게.. 교수님이 칠판에 쓰면서 우스개소리를 하셨는데 학우들이 모두 웃었죠. 그친구는 제가 치는 워드를 보고 "2초 후에" 웃을 수 있었습니다. 그때 너무 마음이 아프더라구요. 그냥 그때가 생각이나서 써봅니다.

subtitles are so important so we can enjoy media together regardless of abilities, this does not only pertain to hearing impairment but to things like adhd, autism, etc. it helps me focus on videos and it has also helped me learn languages before!! being inclusive can be very fun because we can exchange so much knowledge with each other and also let people, who usually cannot do so, take the stage online and other spaces!

I always go to a salon for haircut and the woman there she can't hear nor speak but she's so sweet I talk to her a lot and she cuts my hair so nicely I don't have to fake bout me liking the haircut. 🥺🥺🥺plus she doesn't take much from me and she even gives me discount like she's so noice to me and she's pretty too like wow she can't speak nor hear so I always have a notepad with me so we can write and talk and actually thinking the conversation is really cute so is her handwriting like I'm so obsessed with her 🥺🥺🥺

TB acho isso. Na minha opinião seria o certo , faz parte da nossa língua também . Acho q seria mais humano do q termos inglês. Fico imaginando como deve ser difícil pra eles se comunicarem, já que tão poucas pessoas falam a língua de sinais. Pra gente é uma pessoa que encontramos poucas vezes talvez , pra eles é uma vida inteira de dificuldades pra se comunicar. Isso é oq penso, já q n conheço ninguém assim.

저도 청각장애인이고 5급이예요. 청각 장애인은 상대방의 입모양으로도 스스로 적은 확률로 해석이 가능 하지만, 소리에서 나오는 (진동,파동)으로 안해 더 빠르고 쉽게 해석이 가능 하답니다~ 거기다가 바디랭귀지(제스처)로 명확하게 표현해준다면 더군다나 높은 확률로 해석하기 쉽답니다^_^!!
