For those who criticized this movie as copying “Wanted,” they must not have heard of this concept called “remake”. 😏How many times has Hollywood remade the same movie (just think about King Kong)? Typically they even do a worse job in the American remake too-think of the far superior foreign originals in “Let the Right One In” (remade as Let Me In) or the stylish French original La Femme Nikita to its sorry American copy (many shot for shot imitation!) and TV series. Hell, even the great Martin Scorsese won his only best Oscar director award (The Departed) for a remake of a Hong Kong movie called Infernal Affairs (though he should’ve won for many other movies-Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Good Fellas, Gangs of New York to name just a few-but got snubbed, but that’s a different topic).

I must say that the English translation here is quite good, or at least better than most Chinese languages movies I’ve seen on KZbin, which I suspect rely on google or other machine translation. It typically results in incomplete conveyance of the original script and sometimes outrageously wrong distortions. I like the main actor, not traditionally handsome (but not Ken doll like either, or looking plastic), but has a natural comedic presence.
