1907 Grand Prix Season

With the first Grand Prix having been run in the previous year, 1907 marks the start of the grand prix era. In this video, I've created a driver of the year championship based off the 10 biggest races of the year.

Genuinely phenomenal - what a great concept for a series! There’s a distinct lack of… well, anything really about early 1900s Grand Prix racing. In a lot of ways, you are collating and preserving history that’s been left to quietly slide into obscurity by almost everyone. Really like how you’ve attempted to group it all into some kind of championship, as it provides a solid, understandable narrative that helps set the scene. Really good video, very much looking forward to 1908!

😮i question the "single cylinder" comment for voiturette.

I'm not sure if it was the case for every single voiturette race but I've seen more than 1 reference to these cars having one cylinder. Maurice Sizaire about the 1907 Coupe de Voiturettes, “On October 21st, 1907 we appeared on the starting line with three cars having single-cylinder engines of 100 mm. x 150 mm"
