Once again the reliable old 1908 30-60 Hart Parr oil pull chugs to life and tools about the exhibition grounds. She continues to run like the day she was built, even though that was almost 110 years ago. Pioneer Acres Museum, Irricana, Alberta.

You really have to admire the raw creative genius that made machines like this possible. Very cool!

If I'm not mistaken, these tractors will run on almost any kind of fuel. Nice video!
@Rainhill1829
@Rainhill1829 9 жыл бұрын
Indeed, once they are warm, they would sip almost anything from kerosene to paint thinner, but each fuel would give you differing horsepower ratings.

It sounds like a single cylinder with part of the exhaust injecting into the stack above the "radiator" to induce a draft through it?
@Rainhill1829
@Rainhill1829 7 жыл бұрын
Almost perfect, she has two cylinders, the exhaust does indeed induce draft through the radiator using an ejector ring

Thanks so much, I apologise for not introducing myself, I am from Alberta, Canada and while I do own a small collection of machines a vast majority of the things I film are from museum and private collections. I am just happy to show these machines to those who cannot be here whatever the reason may be, it brings me endless joy. Glad you enjoyed.

Disgusting shame how this artifact has been neglected and allowed to deteriorate since it's painstaking restoration!
@Rainhill1829
@Rainhill1829 3 жыл бұрын
Ive spent countless hours cleaning and lubricating this tractor every spring and I will have you know, save for a bad carb float it is in perfect mechanical condition and had they painted it properly when they restored it, the paint wouldn’t be peeling off in sheets.

It does off each individual cylinder, but they converge in the stack above the radiator into a large ejector ring to create the draft for the cooling air.

Things I have learned from this video... junk is the rule, not the law. Steel wheel tractors are an open invitation to play a fun game of chicken with your neighbors. They must be able to afford to get a new tractor every single year considering the fact that not a single person in the entire country can drive one !
