My father was a rear gunner he was able to survive the end of ww2 and immigrated to Australia and went to rest 1n 2010. By hell these young men were brave with iron balls !

it looks like that has sat a long time 😮😮 and the injectors are leaking down loosing prime I seen be 4 years ago a another fellow had 1 that was the same way / it may also be the diesel fuel is not not getting 2 the injectors 😮😮 does that have a manual fuel pump U might have 2 use a 12volt fuel pump and try that they can hateful after that set like that 😮😮 OMG 7 8 2O24

1915 engines 14.8 liters only 40 hp today it would be well over 500

The low power was due to the deliberately low compression design so it could run on a variety of poor quality fuels. The torque, however, is incredible!

Not the first time I have seen a 4 cylinder magneto on a 2 cylinder tractor. Its all good if it's what you need to make it run.

Yeah, its odd ive seen a number of these two cylinder Case machines rig up a four post mag, interesting setup.

It’s fine just make sure the unused posts are grounded. Some are grounded internally in the cap or there are no lobes on the breaker points cam for those cylinders. You’ll see this on odd fire two cylinders often as the plug wires are 90* of magneto rotation apart so you’d have a pair of plug wires next to each other instead of across (180*) from each other.

What is the full rpm of this engine ?

475rpm for this model, the early versions of this tractor only displaced 12.4L and were limited to 450rpm.

I spent many many hours on one of these or several of them was a great machine and durable never break down very often burn lots of fuel though, but it had power to knowend👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I live in Nsw Australia, every year they have an old tractor weight pull competition, every year out of all the old pre 1960 machines the Lanz Bulldog tractor or bull dozer , wins , 11 litre one cylinder , 60 hp but 1100 foot pounds of torque. All the other old machines stop but the Landz just keeps firing , will not stop , that massive piston , impressive .
