Not a car buff by any means, but it's a sheer delight to watch a self-deprecating, drole, creative master at work. In a small way takes me back to watching my dad do car repairs in the 50's and 60's. Brilliant stuff, keep 'em coming!

Ivan I am 70 years old and after watching your video I've decided that I want to grow up to be just like you. Growing up on a farm taught me early on how to make common sense repairs like the ones you have shown. Very entertaining and informative. Thank you for taking the time to do this my friend and I hope to see many more videos from "Ivan's Shed".

I have enjoyed every episode and look forward to new ones. I live about 150 miles south of Indianapolis. Grew up listening to the 500 on the radio as it was not on television. My beater is a 1955 Chevrolet 210 four door. It has the original 235 six cylinder with the Powerglide transmission. I am presently replacing a broken timing gear -- a friend is bringing over an engine hoist tomorrow.

What a wonderful machine...I once sat in Ray Harroun’s 1911 Indy winner, a Marmon, and I mentioned to the curator that the steering box was very worn...a couple of inches of play on center.....he told me that this was normal and within specifications.....can’t imagine the courage it must have taken to drive these things at 80 or 90 mph at the Brickyard on tires you wouldn’t put on a bicycle today.

Ivan, thank you so much! I love cars, real cars, not the dehumanisation that is the 'modern' car. We have a 2CV, she's amazing, designed by humans and built by hand. Like the car in this video, she is mechanical, analog, not digital and sheer magic to drive. The whole car can be dismantled to the last nut and bolt. Todays cars have achieved what the car was originally meant to be, reliable forms of personal transport, but sadly, they lost so much in the process. Please post more videos!

I tripped over your channel earlier in the week and have now seen all of your videos, the first one being the last! With out question you are an exceptional gentleman in many many respects and still have the joie de vivre of an irresponsible young man. Your videos are a fascinating insight into a different age and the techniques you show are remarkable, welding a mini crank for the 2 cylinder. Alan Milliard is another gentleman who seemingly achieves the impossible in a shed. Keep it up your posts are hugely appreciated

It's taken me 2 and a half years to discover you and subscribe and I'm so glad I did as the work you do is mesmerising to me. In lockdown you can enjoy a cathartic release from your videos and I wonder now how long it will be to see cars such as your cars thundering down the tarmac again and to get a whiff of the exhaust and tyre smoke? I can't understand why you don't have many more subscribers.

Don't know if you were there or not but about 10 years ago I went to Oulton Park where they had a vintage racing day, racing vehicles just like this and I thought it was bonkers people were still racing these old machines (I mean giving them the beans, driving them like they stole them) and you could go in to the pits and see these machines up close. I was extremely impressed and have a lot of respect for you guys keeping this up.

Wonderful. Lovely to watch and see how others approach an engineering challenge. Retired now I was a machinist, center lathes ,milling etc in a busy quarry based workshop for over 20 years. Had to be multi skilled in many disciplines, welding , heavy and light plant, static plant, vehicle repairs etc and design and build from scratch one off projects. Sadly many of these skills and incredible knowledge only gained from experience have been lost to in time to British Industry. Loving this series guys so glad I found you.
