Such a brilliant track. It is these unusual tracks that make Depeche Mode timeless. Probably the best band to have come out of the 1980s

Only a true poet could come up with words with already enough depth, An equally talented individual(s) to place sounds in them making it more profound, And a voice (or voices) so moving making the songs, its makers, performers worth remembering. Depeche Mode is that band, making them the most enduring there was and is.

maybe he wears outrageous outfits to help him cope with his serious stage fright. it also helped when he was buzzed/drunk (which was during every tour but the last one). he downplays what he wore in the 80s but i think it was a great compliment to their music and image. he only toned it down when the press became fixated on that one thing. imagine how far he could've taken it if there wasn't a backlash? Black Celebration anyhow.

Such images suited young Martin. He looked courageous and sensual.

I've always found Martin very handsome and yes, also masculine, even with his bondage gear and skirts. He's so damned sexy. But he is just startlingly beautiful in this! I mean really pretty with such delicate features. He has more lovely features than a lot of women. He is bravest man I know then and now. Always secure in his sexuality to wear whatever the hell he wants.😙
@thepineapple96876 жыл бұрын
Where i can found martin's photo on your page??? 😍😍😍😍
@sabbathgreer34006 жыл бұрын
i mean....... masculine? he has personally described himself before as being feminine. please dont act like the word "feminine" is synonymous with weak; there is nothing wrong with femininity and there is certainly nothing wrong with feminine men. forcing the standard male gender role onto him when he is clearly gender nonconforming is incredibly disrespectful both to him and to every other gender nonconforming person, myself included. he isnt masculine and he isnt trying to be masculine
@gfdsa28665 жыл бұрын
Right On! So secure with his sexuality and talent that he doesn't give a damn! Like let them all die wondering with "Are they? Or Aren't they?"craze. He knows he looks good but is grounded. Among the greatest of talents but is shy backstage and in interviews. Women are comfortable around him (Gosh! I would have been one of his girlfriends back then!) BDSM, 50 Shades decades before it's even a thing. Martin is an Angel!
@worldpeaceisinevitable4 жыл бұрын
Exactly! He is beautiful and handsome and masculine and feminine! He is just incredibly hot. I think he is definitely more masculine than feminine, though.
@sonofhibbs44254 жыл бұрын
I have always had this idea, if a woman can wear men’s clothing and still look damn sexy as a female in it, it means they are very feminine. The same goes for a man wearing more feminine clothes-if his supreme masculinity is in tact, he’ll look damn sexy in it. Martin is one of those men who can pull it off. That takes massive balls. He a beautiful form of masculinity.
