In April of 1924 Chelsea introduced the Model 107 regenerative receiver. They took a previous Receiver / Amplifier pair and consolidated it all into one cabinet. This restoration was particularly frustrating as it had missing parts and pieces and is the only example of this radio I've been able to find. With no documentation to rely on, and no information on the radios it replaced, this became a detective story, piecing together information, advertisements, and comparing it to other Chelsea models until it all made sense. This is what this Channel is all about! We will have to solve an issue with a replacement rheostat, figure out how it was supposed to be wired, fabricate a terminal block for it, and troubleshoot an issue discovered after restoration. Please join me in this journey on bringing this 4-tube regen back to life, which shares identical circuitry to its sister model 108, which is a phonograph cabinet version with a different face plate and the Gimbel's ZR-2, which is a model 107 mounted in a cabinet with a speaker.

Yes, that was very informative. Thanks. I found a 1925 FADA 192A in a demolition dumpster last New Year's Eve. Have you ever worked on this model? If so, what are your thoughts?

I actually have a Fada 175A in my restoration queue. They look almost identical on the outside, but there is a bit of difference internally. So short answer is no, I haven't worked on one. I really like the FADA radios. I just don't like how big they are!

@@antiqueradioarcheology-wil8878 I'll be looking forward to your work on the 175A. Where are you located? I'm in Manhattan.

@@antiqueradioarcheology-wil8878 Also, after looking at the interior of the 175A, it appears to have a section in the back for batteries. My 192A doesn't have interior space for batteries, if I'm not mistaken. So, the 175A cabinet must be slightly deeper.
