Great work! Just a quick note- looks like you used plumber's PTFE tape on the gas jet. For future products using gas fuel, I recommend you use the gas-rated PTFE. It's typically pale yellow in a yellow spool instead of white tape in a blue spool. It's rated for higher temperatures (and is a little thicker) so won't break down if that gas jet pipe heats up.

He also did not grease the carrot valve. The grease acts as a seal to keep the gas inside the valve. This is why they bind up or leak. They must be greased yearly.

Hell you should have seen what we had for a bathroom heater at my grandparents cabin in Ruidoso NM growing up. I think they banned them back in late 80's cause of fire risk yet damn things would heat up the bathroom quick. Gas and you lit it with a match. Better light the match before you hit the gas knob else you might lose some eyebrows. Don't ask how I know that one.
