You did all of that work, and didn't even sand the wood after staining it. What a shame.
This type of lantern is a maritim light... for survival boats... the glass corpus is named "Fresnell's lense", made by Monsieur Fresnell, french engineer of 19. Century... Each navigations light on ships is used with this lense... You did a wonderful job to restore this adorable lantern!!! Thanks for sharing!!! 🎩👍👍🔨🇩🇪

C'est la couleur d'origine. L'ancien placage chrome avait jauni avec le temps ce qui donnait cet aspect "doré".

I wish that beautiful almost pinkish color from the copper could have been saved, it was stunning. What a beautiful piece! They sure don't make them like this anymore.
