Owning and restoring any old car requires extensive knowledge, time, and money in order to do it right. An old Bentley racer like this takes all that up to a higher level.

This car has chassis number 911 and was delivered in January 1925. It had a Freestone and Webb body originally, and had a 3 litre engine. It was a Standard model so should have a blue badge on the front.

Cool to see, in detail. It's a Bentley 3 litre though, not 4 1/2 litre (as the owner said). (Says 3 liter right on the official badging & 3 liter Bentleys had the narrower radiator, like this one does. 3 litre Bentleys were very successful in racing & dependable motoring. Bentley 4 1/2 liters had wider radiators, were heftier cars, and are best known for the 4.5 litre supercharged (which actually were not successful at endurance racing / and W.O. Bentley did not want to make them, predicting, correctly that while good for Brooklands, they wouldn't be good at Bentley's forte: endurance racing and dependable motoring at speed.)
