Brings back so many memories for me. I worked for Sammy as a young man from 1988 to 1992 and used to spend many hours listening and watching Sammy and his old mechanic, Bob Stanley, restoring the museum bikes. I love these videos as I remember being there! What’s incredible is that Sammy seems to have hardly aged! And that smile when he pops a wheelie on the BSA… please pass on my regards to Sammy and I will get down to see him soon!

Mr. Miller, you are a true scholar, and my hero. I am enjoying your videos like a kid who's found an open cookie jar. I hope I can grow younger to be a bit like you someday

Age 16 and at the 1965 Hutchinson 100 races at Silverstone I think maybe you rode a Bultaco at that meeting. I remember it poured with rain all day. Looking at the programme I said to a friend, "is that the same Sammy Miller who does trials riding?" Thank you so much for these videos and for all the hard work and effort you put into the preservation of these machines you love. Not just as silent exhibits but living and breathing machines that come alive and become real with movement .

That's it, I'm up to date and have watched all of Sammy's videos. What a real privilege to see such a mine of information at work. I'm a mere child of 54 years but already I feel like I've fallen badly behind on knowledge accumulation. Heartfelt thanks.

Hello Sir Miller, thanks for your videos... I am also a lucky owner of a 1927 Zehnder Paris-Nice model bike... I am very interested to see the restauration job that you are going to do on yours, and I am looking forward to see the progress... about le Zehnder logo, it is a big J that crossing a Z and an S it is for Jakob Zehnder and Sons, the compagny name in 1912 best regards from Switzerland, Laurent Zehnder

Just found your web site, great stuff ! Frank Miller here always a fan of you when I became a young rider In late sixties. Rode a Bultaco Matador 250 always thought I would want to ride as good as you did. I'm 66yrs young now and still in good enough shape to ride long distances if I wish to. Carry On Sammy. I remember some small makers producing kit bikes , Sprite I think were one and I recall a firm that I think was called Dalesman ? Was it something to do with avoiding tax , purchase tax or sales tax ? This was before we had VAT .

Very interesting video, I've still got a pair of Sammy Miller gloves bought 25 years ago. I still use them on cycle rides, sadly I sold my trials bike a long time ago.

Same here on the sand too.Bultaco and Montessa were fast in the late seventies just before Honda,s Elsinor Red Devil came along and very much faster due to better bigger transfer ports and massive reed valves!
