What a find....But it's me again. I am ex mechanical engineer and now a pilot. I was lucky to spend many years behind round engines from little 670 cubic inches up to 1830. Most had electric pre oiler pumps and all had to get turned over bunch of times prior to start, mostly to prevent hydraulic lock in the bottom cylinders. We also loved Marvel Mystery oil, in fuel and in engine oil. Why not pull the plugs since you will anyway, get whatever magic lube down the cylinders, get some oil flowing again before starting.......The engine gods will bless you, I promise. Or tell me to shut up and I will. Love my life here in Indonesia, but I sure miss what can be done back home. As my grand dad use to say: "lubrication is the key to successful party". Or was that some rapper, don't remember now. Lube them up.

@@MortskeRepair Sales of the Plymouth at that time were a fraction of Ford, Willys, and Chevrolet so they are rare. In 1935 my Grandfather bought a new Plymouth which he had for the next 15 years.
@pappabob293 жыл бұрын
You're "partly" correct on those floorboards. The story you mentioned is related to the Model T. Henry had less money at that time so he was buying the glass from a sub contractor and specified the size of those crates so he could use the wood for the T floorboards. By the time Edsel "twisted his arm" to design a more modern car to replace the T (the Model A), he built the Rouge River plant and had his own forests and was making his own glass (and steel) by then.
